Hi all! My name is Andrew, I'm 30 this year and I've been bitten once again by the Lego bug! I have just about all the City range in terms of fire stuff, EMT stuff, police stuff, as well as some other things like the small bulldozer, the new garbage truck, etc. My Dad started me on this stuff when I was little, but my interest waned a little, but has well and truely called me back! I'm loving it! (and so is my daughter!!)

Anyway, I found this forum today and signed up. I'm not sure if the community is overly big in Australia, maybe we're all still hiding in the shadows! It's still great to be among like-minded adults, just proves that I'm not crazy after all! I'm looking forward to reading about all this wonderful hobby and meeting all you cool people!

See you around!

Andrew.

Hi Andrew!

By looking at your location under your name I thought you lived in the UK, but apperently there is a place called Newcastle in Australia too. Same queen all the same....

Welcome to the forum, we have people from all over the world attending and quite some Australians as well, all sharing the love for the little plastic bricks.

Enjoy it here!

Welcome!

The Pirate forum's Administrator is Australian (not me, Mr. Phes) so I know for sure you aren't the only one!

Any time is a great time to get back into Lego ® Enjoy your time here!

Welcome to Eurobricks. I am from Tasmania. From what I know Melbourne is more the place to be. They even have Lego conventions!

(There is one soon but the site is behind.) I am actually considering moving there! (Yes, I am serious.)

I feel your pain! :-D I was born in Victoria at Warragul, about an hour east of Melbourne, hopefully I'm going to move back one day!!

Hi. Welcome to EB. I think CutlassIz is also from Australia.

Indeed I am from Australia, QLD thought. :-X I also really would love to be back in Melbourne *wub* . What a pretty city it is.

Welcome Marvin *sweet* ..... I'm hoping that my (soon-to-be daughter) will also share the love for real LEGO and not Clikits or megablocks some other S***. But who knows in this day and age. X-D

Hello there, Marvinblue! :-) I see you're also a member of IALFD.org! *sweet* My screen name over there is sanlegofd, just so you know. ;-)

Enjoy the EB experience! ;-)

Cool! I thought I'd better join that as I'm an Aviation Firie here at Newcastle, as well as most of my current collection is Fire / EMT based. I haven't posted any pictures yet as I'm slowly moccing my fire gear. Once I'm happy, then I'll send in some pics! :-)

My daughter's at the age where it's play with Lego for 10-15 mins, then off to My Little Pony land for about 20 mins, then do some drawing, then maybe a movie.... all around coming and going to school and playing with friends!!! (She's just turned 5!) But if she wants to play Lego with her old man, she knows where to find me!! Wife wife laughs when I make the noises with my girl though......... :-$ Edited by marvinblue

Maybe we can all move to Victoria together! I am targeting two years.

My daughter plays with Lego inconsistantly. She loves my new Cement Mixer, she liked the "Girls Fantasy Bucket" but she tends to go back to her dolls after a while. My son is little better; his main interest is making extreamly simple space ships and "mean guys" and then smashing them both up. Ah well. When is you due?

November! :-D (Perfect time for it hey :-X !!! Urg, for summer) I'm thinking that her 1st christmas present will be a Paradisa Set. Pretty and Pink but still with some cred. Ha-ha! ;-) Of course she can't play with it for years but that's not the point. :-D
