Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted July 6, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted July 6, 2007 (edited) I'm not sure where Mr Bonaparte lives, but I do think we live quite close to each other, so if distance to Billund was the only problem, than I should be able to attend to the event! But then there's money, and parents...I'm quite sure THEY wouldn't like to drive the bloody 8+ hours "just for this event...". So they probably won't drive me... Mr Tiber That's funny, I was just checking how big of a detour it would be for me to pick you up in Maastricht. It would be about 65km extra, so that's very doable. The total would be 925km. And it don't think there are any taxes for using the German highways? Or has this changed recently? Edited July 6, 2007 by bonaparte Quote
El Bucanero Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 And it don't think there are any taxes for using the German highways? Or has this changed recently? I went to LEGOland Billund a couple of years ago, and we used the German highways, no taxes! I hope it hasn't changed recently... Quote

I hope it hasn't changed recently... I did hear something about taxes on the german highways some time ago. Don't know if they were talking about trucks or cars. Maybe they were just thinking about it. Probably some of our German members can clarify this. Edited July 6, 2007 by bonaparte Quote

Maybe they were just thinking about it. Probably some of our German members can clarify this. Taxes for vehicles heavier than 3,5 tons (meaning transporters and trucks). No taxes on cars. For now. |-/ :-| Some of my friends might also join, so I'll have to see if there is still place in the car. I hope Holodoc has a bus driver's license cause he will need one to bring us all to Billund! X-D Quote

Mr Hobbles Posted July 6, 2007 Author Posted July 6, 2007 I've just checked on Ryanair's site...I have to fly Edinburgh > Dublin > Billund. Which is fair enough, since I was going to have to fly Edinburgh > Amsterdam > Billund anyway. I picked two random dates four days apart (Since they don't go as far ahead as April 2008 yet) and it came to around about Quote

X-D X-D X-D That's good to hear :-) I hope nothing whacks the plan :-P (see.. I'm completely brain washed..) I'm pretty sure I'll be able to make it to the next event, getting from Oslo to Billund is rather simple ;-) And 2008 is a good year (for me) to visit Legoland, since it will be 20 years after my previous visit.. Quote
Holodoc Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 And 2008 is a good year (for me) to visit Legoland, since it will be 20 years after my previous visit.. Woooha! You have been four and have already visited Legoland? 8- Quote

Grand Moff Viceroy Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 You people are lucky. My home to Billund is 5000 miles in a straight line (miles are more than km! :-D ) Wish I could go so much.... Shame, I haven't ever been to an event. Quote

Quarryman Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 A straight line? Why can't you just walk there then? Have you been drinking? :-P Assuming that it was possible to walk (in a straight line) from Grand Moff Viceroy's home to Billund it would only take 56 days of continuous walking to get there. (assuming an average speed of 6 km / hour). Now, since it's a lot more than 56 days until the next event there should be plenty of time to rest, eat, sleep, etc along the way. So, Grand Moff Viceroy, what are you waiting for? :-P (and don't start complaining about school, work, or whatever, we all know what's important here, right? ;-) ) Quote
UniqueBuilder Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Well, would you guys like to walk all the way from the Death Star to Billund? :-| X-D Quote
