Jakorin Swiftsword Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 After uncovering a vile plot by the dwarves, Jakorin Swiftsword, General Boris, his two guards, and Jakorin's dog, Rufus, all depart on-board the "Sea Spear" to the Mystic Isles to report to the elves. But along the way, they run into a terrifying sight... Boris: "M'lord! Look there!" Jakorin: "Aye, I see it! And a large worm it is!" Guard: "Shall I shoot it, sire?"(Knocks an arrow and pulls back on the string) Jakorin: "For heaven's sake, NO! You'll anger it. Let's just let it pass. It doesn't look that hungry, after all." Boris: "And if it decides other-wise?" Jakorin: "Then let's hope you can swim." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thanks for looking! Next up, the Mystic Isles! Quote
Jakorin Swiftsword Posted December 2, 2014 Author Posted December 2, 2014 Great build and fun story! Thanks man! Quote
Slegengr Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Great build, Jakorin! I like the brick-build ship and the water effect with varying colors. The sea worm is interesting as well, though I wish the pins could be hidden better. The border is nice and simple and adds to the build without detracting from the focus. Quote
Garmadon Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Excellent brick-built ship, Jakorin, and great work on the water and story as well I agree with Slegengr that the sea worm would look better if you could hide the pins though. Quote
Kai NRG Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Great job, I especially like the sails but the shape of the hull is really good too! Quote
MassEditor Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Excellent little build, I'm really enjoying your style Jakorin! The brick-built hull looks pretty good, as do the sails and rest of the ship. I look forward to seeing the next installment! Quote

You're right about the pins. Although when I tried to cover them up with studs, it kept tilting over to the side. I'll have to find a way to fix that in the future. :) Excellent brick-built ship, Jakorin, and great work on the water and story as well I agree with Slegengr that the sea worm would look better if you could hide the pins though. soccerkid6 Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Excellent little ship, the hull looks great as do the sails and railing neat way to portray a sea serpent too Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 I am already looking forward to the mystic isles. This MOC is really great, quite inspiring, also for pirate vessels (i.e. "futuristic ships" from this medieval point of view ) Quote
Scaevola Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Nice little build, that brick-built hull is very well done, and the tentacle is a very effective detail Quote

Yzalirk Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Very nice nice ship and the water looks awesome, especially with the different tones. Also, assuming your sig-fig is the one with the hat in this picture, has a very neat captain outfit that just goes so well with the scene that it makes it feel more "believable". Quote
