Mr Hobbles Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 New trailer! http://gizmodo.com/356366/indiana-jones-iv...s-wet-our-pants Hopefully there should be a better quality one before too long! Quote
Vader Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Oh man this trailer sure makes me excited about the film *wub* , though after watching this it's gonna be hell to wait for the film :'-( INDY ON !!!! Quote
Joebot Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 The Indy 4 trailer is FINALLY online. You can watch it at the official site: www.indianajones.com. It looks okay, I guess. Two things really jump out at me and give me cause for concern. One, Harrison Ford looks old. Like, really old. And two ... the part in the credits where it says "Story by George Lucas." Oy. Lucas hasn't had a good story for a movie since 1980. But, we'll see. I'm trying to remain cautiously optimistic. Quote
Shadows Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 One, Harrison Ford looks old. Like, really old. And two ... the part in the credits where it says "Story by George Lucas." Oy. Lucas hasn't had a good story for a movie since 1980. But, we'll see. I'm trying to remain cautiously optimistic. He is really old, but occasionally a shot will look pretty darn good. I think they'll make it through in that regard, especially since they're definitely setting this up for a "Son of Indy" series in the future. As for Lucas... He says that The Empire Strikes Back was the worst movie in the series and that it only sold well because of the guy he hired to promote it. Right, we were all duped by the advertising, George, it really stunk. No wonder we didn't like the prequels as much, we're idiots. :-| He's a marketing genius, but as a moviemaker he got lucky. Very lucky. I'm trying to have faith that Spielberg is in control on this one and will keep things in line. Quote
Vader Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Thanks but we already have a thread about this, so i shall merge the 2. Quote
xwingyoda Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 I'm really excited about the movie thats for sure !! I love how it retraces Indy's previous experiences with that cool music, then its the 4th opus !! Nothing much there for a teaser: you don't get the storyline whatsoever but I have to say that Irina Spalko sure does look hot *wub* Hum catfight with marion ?? meow :-P It gives a good sense of what will the movie be, really in the Indy tradition with bad guys, hotties as villains, tomb exploration and wat have you !! I love the end dialogue when Mutt Williams ask Indy if he's a professor in the tomb or cave and Indy replies with a sweet "part time" :-P Indy is so On !! *yoda* Quote
Johnny 5 Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! (running around in circles in excitement) OMG!! It looks awesome! *wub* *wub* *wub* *y* *y* Quote
Batbrick Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 I'm very impressed, it looks fantastic, however I'm a little concerned of the use of CGI in the film, it seems that there is quite a bit of it, which Spielberg said there wouldn't be much at all. That aside, fantastic, I shall be there on opening day. Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
Cardinal Brick Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Excellent, and it looks like it will be good old fashioned fun! Quote
DoubleT Posted February 14, 2008 Author Posted February 14, 2008 Hmm havent i seen that storage house before... ;-) nice teaser btw.. Quote
xwingyoda Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Hmm havent i seen that storage house before... ;-) Yeay I didn't realise it at first but that warehouse really looks like the one where the US Government has put the Arc 8- Quote
Scouty Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 This is so very awesome *wub* ! _________ I thought it was both George Lucas and Spielberg who have gone over and written the script. I'm a little dis-heartened that numerous people so very dearly don't like George's stories and what not. Quote
xwingyoda Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Looking TOD right now and I just noticed something hilarious: a new SW cameo 8- Quote
zero1312 Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Yeay I didn't realise it at first but that warehouse really looks like the one where the US Government has put the Arc 8- Quote
Batbrick Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 You mean the one at the of the first movie? :-/ Yes, it is the same place. I hope the Ark or Crystal Skulls don't get recovered by Indy in this, its kind of staple that indy never really gets the Artifact at the end. I'm still a little worried about the use of CGI in this, but hey, atleast George Lucas isn't writing it! :-P Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote

Batbrick Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 But he is writing it 8-| .Also, to note: "story by GEORGE LUCAS and JEFF NATHANSON screenplay by DAVID KOEPP" No, the story is by George Lucas, but The Script is by David Koepp, which means no more crappy romance dialogue ala the awful prequel trilogy :-X Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
Scouty Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 No, the story is by George Lucas, but The Script is by David Koepp, which means no more crappy romance dialogue ala the awful prequel trilogy :-X Batbrick Away! >:-) But that doesn't mean that George Lucas just thought of something and let Koepp go with it. I think that the story is written, then the screenwriter adapts it to a script, making changes as well. I'm not entirely sure how it goes, but that is my guess. Quote
Lt. Veers Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 The trailer looks sweet! I sooooo wish I could see it now. Quote

I've got mixed feelings about this, being a lover of the originals BUT I'm sure it'll be an awesome title through and through! I look forward to seeing more =D. -- Andrex Quote
