This is taken from a link in the pirates thread listing the 2009 pirate sets. It looks like there's a return of space (not Mars Mission). Woo hoo!!

Oh, here's the list of sets

Let's hope they're like the first incarnation of Space Police, who arrested those evil blacktron dudes (and dudettes, I don't want to be sexist here, women are just as capable of crime as men, ok, so 3 times as many men are in prisons as women...hmmm a bit off topic there!).

I think it's a tie, they're both listed as 11:16 am to me, but I'm happy to have someone cancel this thread!

Well when i posted mine i looked and there werent any threads after i posted it.

Yours is probable better though i just looked at mine it stuffed up with the copy/paste :hmpf_bad:

Anyone speak ?Chinese? who can tell us more about that thread this was found in?

Where its from, etc. Is it just pure speculation?

Doesn't seem to inform of much... sounds like there's going to some sort of Galaxy Patrol group... I wonder what their opposition will be called and how many of those 6 sets(if any) will belong to that faction....

It comes from a guy called "whung" who has an excellent reputation for getting early pics of sets, so chances are it's legitimate.

It should be true all the others seem to be.

the Chinese just says You are good, welcome to visit

I hop they have trans red or green or some new rans type color we have not seen but these lsound so cool Iam kind of sad about mars mission :cry_sad: but these sound so much better and was on my wish list for 09 hope it turns in to a space theme and not a theme by itself :thumbup:

if you look at the entire list of sets it almost sounds too good to be true. space police? could be... if MM ends this year, then we do have a slot for a new space line... it would be interesting to see how that relates to star wars and the two space sets we currently have... Let's just wait until we have confirmation before we totaly go insane, shall we? :tongue::classic:

all i'm saying is that all this news is just too good to be true.... it also sounds too much like a return to the old days of space police... you know those moments in films when the hero kinda gets suspicious cos a plan works out juuuuuust a little bit too easy? i kinda feel like that right now...

but hey, if you guys want to fantasize or speculate, go right ahead... but i say, let's torture that EB-amb first... :tongue:

I thought that one day Space Police would return, but this does seem a little too good to be true... But hey, maybe TLC has finally given in to the pull of Classic Space! :wub:

What with this torture fetish you do have ? :devil: I don't think it's good to be true. With the late involvment of the ambassadors' advice on the new line, we've seen how great things can turn out !

I really think Blacktron worked best as an independent theme. LEGO's new policy of including uninspired enemy vehicles with the good guys just kind of results in a mediocre set... it drives up the price for no good reason. I really hope that's not the case, since one of the biggest gripes with Mars Mission was paying an extra five bucks for an alien craft so lazily designed that it looks like a five year old did it. At least, that was my biggest gripe.

I really just want Space Police, pure and simple. New figs, updated vehicles, a new monorail base- I'd be one happy camper. But of course I'll avoid getting TOO excited until pics. After all, this could all be folly, or LEGO could completely ruin the theme with sloppy designs or unworkable gimmicks.

EB AGAINST FLICK FIRE MISSILES IN THE NEW SPACE POLICE!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to assume then, that if TLC asked the list to go away, then its not just speculation but probably was something real?

Having seen the new Pirates sets that are pretty faithful to the originals, I'd say a faithful Space Police is a safe bet.

If Lego ordered the list removed, that confirms it's real. It's always funny to me when corporations take actions like that, since to not take any action would give the rumors much less credence.

I wish you were too, and living in Australia, an attractive girl into space lego, what more could a guy ask for?? OK, I kid.

Yeah I'd love the two faction thing to happen with these sets but no jelly aliens. Maybe blacktron 1 figs but this time with sneers instead of smiley faces.
