iamded Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 Great find, zeki! I love how it includes a barbeque, for us who celebrate Christmas in summer. ~Peace Quote
Pencoin Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 SOLD! Now how do i get both? (castle and city) Oh well I'll do it they look as good as each other . Really like the Snowman. Shame no Santa though. Quote
brickzone Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 I like how the tray of empty bottles is done, very convincing! Like the ice-cream too. This isn't a must have for me though, I have plenty of city folk from the sets. Quote
Dragonator Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 Thanks for the great find Zeki! There's some nice little treasures in there, I'll definitely be getting one. Got to love the cat up the tree. The snowman looks good too, but where's its carrot nose? Quote
Brainbox Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 I have to say, I wasn;t going to get this, and get the Castle one instead. But now I think I may have to get both. There are some pretty nice things in there, not least the fact that there are 10 figs. And i think this may be the first time ever that a City policeman doesn't have the grumpy face. The snowman looks good too, but where's its carrot nose? Why it's in your sig of course. Quote
Holodoc Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 Boooh! All the surprise is gone now! Hehe, nice find, zeki! There are some really nice ideas in the set. Just for the parts, I´ll get it. Probably along with the castle one. Quote
NewRight Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 I say to myself every year that I am going to buy one, but I never end up doing it. This one isn't as great, I still might buy it. Shameless Bluff. Quote
hamilton Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 (edited) i ordered mine from the Lego kids club in June. Not too bad for $30 AU. Does anybody actually know when it ships? No mention of the Medieval calendar getting a release here in Australia, yet. i particularly like the bottle palette and trolley, but i cant work out what the Police scene is supposed to be - a bench and lamp for torture and interrogation perhaps? Reminds me of the room found in the tower of the Arkham set. i am in agreement that the snowman is indeed missing his carrot nose, but i think Lego used up their surplus of those in their egg and bunny Easter sets in 2008. Actually, it is a scene of a policeman taking a mug shot. Quote
welcomestranger Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 i ordered mine from the Lego kids club in June. Not too bad for $30 AU. Does anybody actually know when it ships? According to the brochure that came with the last Lego club mag it said it ships september... I missed the deadline to order mine through the club, but hopefully the Lego Education Centre here in Brisbane will be stocking them... Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 SOLD!Now how do i get both? (castle and city) Oh well I'll do it they look as good as each other . Really like the Snowman. Shame no Santa though. Maybe not. Zeki has 25 pictures posted and one of them is of the box. That means we have all but one gift pictured so Santa could be the one on December 25. Quote
Brainbox Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 Maybe not. Zeki has 25 pictures posted and one of them is of the box. That means we have all but one gift pictured so Santa could be the one on December 25. I'm pretty sure the previous advent calendars have only gone up to the 24th. I'd imagine this one to be the same. Quote
Skipper 24 Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 I think we have actually already seen the contents earlier this year but not as good pics. Well done and great find. Quote
hamilton Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 Maybe not. Zeki has 25 pictures posted and one of them is of the box. That means we have all but one gift pictured so Santa could be the one on December 25. Sorry to say it but the box says 24 'gifts' are included, and Zeki has provided pictures of all 24 sets. So (thankfully) no Santa this year. Anybody whom wishes to see the sets assembled as they are intended to be displayed can find pics on Flickr and elsewhere on the interweb from a toy show earlier this year. Quote
fugglewyg Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 (edited) I think that bit at the bottom of the box that says "24 gifts" may also be a clue ? Edit: Darn hamilton beat me to it, really should refresh my browser if i leave pc for a while.. Edited August 17, 2008 by fugglewyg Quote

VBBN Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Trans cones... Well, the rest is pretty good, but the chef's pizzas a re a BIG letdown for me. Quote
The Cobra Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 That's not a pizza. It's a "focaccia al pomodoro" (tomato flatcake) . Trust an Italian Quote
metalandi Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 I like it that they made brick-built pizzas (or whatever ) instead of using the old printed pieces. Makes more pieces, and i don't think it looks too bad, Quote
