Guss Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 thanks a lot Jifel ^^ thanks a lot too Thrash , these bad thieves surely comes from your thieves guild!!!! you're stealing my gold!!! well, to answer the question "what will I build next" .... as this module used the majority my light grey pieces, I think I'll make ... nothing I thought about making some little scene that can fit in the castle, like a guard flirting with a girl under a tree , some little things, but I don't know if I Scream Clone will allow it, it's a just an idea I had to allow people without a lot of grey pieces to even makes something for the EBCCB ^^ Quote

They would hardly be good Thieves at all if they didn't try to rob the armory, though! Bummer about the lack of gray bricks. To maximize the amount of EBCCB modules you can do, you can always just make your back wall be detachable, and then move it from module to module whenever you take pictures. Then you can just choose one of the modules where the actual structures doesn't actually use a lot of gray. For example, I was running low on gray so I just detached the wall from my Thieves Guild, threw it on another 16x16, and started building the Jester's Joke shop, which used all red and blue instead of gray. I've responded to your last comment in the discussion thread. ~Thrash Quote
I Scream Clone Posted November 11, 2008 Author Posted November 11, 2008 Nice work Guss, I will index it shortly for you. There is more discussion about the grounds in the main topic. Cheers Quote
Stol Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Guss i like your MOC a lot. It fits perfectly!!! I must say my favorite thing is the banner over the doorway, although its a tiny detail it really takes the MOC from good to AMAZING!!!!! Quote
Guss Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 (edited) thanks Stol and thanks I Scream Clone for indexing it^^ Thrash I think I'll try something like it next week, thanks for the advice, I never thought of it^^ I built something that I think can fit somewhere in the castle, what can all the differents races protect together ? by different races I mean... trolls, dwarves, undeads, magicians (here with a dog^^), elves, orcs and humans ? the answer ? they're protecting a chariot full of alcohol of course! ( yes I used my romance tree^^) of course I don't want this entire scene in our castle , but I think the chariot can fit well with the theme^^ some views of it : with only two horses, if it's too long^^ : the next picture is a link to the gallery^^ just tell me what you think ^^ Edited November 14, 2008 by Guss Quote
Thrash Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 (edited) Ha, that's a pretty clever idea to have all the races coming together over alcohol. It will look great heading towards the tavern! I really like the wagon, I think it sets a perfect example of the type of thing that we want filling up the space between the keep and the outer modules. ~Thrash Edited November 14, 2008 by Thrash Quote

I Scream Clone Posted November 16, 2008 Author Posted November 16, 2008 can u post pics of the when it all together Could be quite difficult since we are all over the world Maybe with some photoshop we could put a few together later on. Quote
JimBee Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Maybe with some photoshop we could put a few together later on. Actually, that would be pretty damn sweet. Perhaps I could help out with that if we ever decide to do it. Quote
Josh Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Well here it is Madam Lash's Brothel!Comes complete with 3 themed rooms, naughty statue out the front, troll bouncer,4 workers and Madam Lash!I will take a few more pics later as I made it so it can come to pieces so you can get to the interior easy enough!Hope you like it peoples! Looking forward to the conventional brothel that is being built ! Quote
Thrash Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Like I've said before, I really like this brothel. The idea for different theme rooms was great. I don't really know why, but I think that one of my favorite part is the way the overhang over the stairs looks. Great job! ~Thrash Quote
Lalande Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Hi everybody, I finished my tapestry weaver, hope you like it! This picture shows the thatched roof. Here is the suitor (blue dyer) bringing the skeens of blue yarn to the weaver's wife. The weaver and his wife want their daughter to marry the blue dyer. The daughter hates him (partially because he smells so bad from the blue dye business), but look at him, doesn't look too pleasant does he? The weaver's wife is bringing in the blue skeen. The weaver is busy weaving the tapestry. I used a picture of a real medieval loom for the idea of the large loom. The weaver's family lives upstairs, they have one of their tapestries on the wall and are simmering the stew for dinner. The bedspread is woven to look like a tree, which matches the wall tapestry. Ha, ha, now that the blue dyer has left, and her parents are busy, the weaver's daughter greets her true love. There is a trap door that leads to the castle wall. Her soldier love leaves his weapons on the cat walk, and brings her flowers...see how happy she looks now! The weaver's wife, the weaver, the smelly blue dyer, the weaver's daughter and her soldier lover. Notice her parents make her wear blue to try and impress the blue dyer... Thanks for looking! Erdbeereis Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 That's a lovely module Lalande! I really like the loom, and the hanging tapestries look great as well. Your whole family should join the build! Quote
I Scream Clone Posted December 13, 2008 Author Posted December 13, 2008 Great story to accompany a really nicely designed MOC! The loom looks fantastic, as does the fire place. Perhaps if you have some light grey cheese slopes for the sides of the fireplace it will look smoother. The tapestry is very nice on the wall and bed. The characters set off the story well too. Great work, though it looks like your walls aren't pushed all the way down, must have been the recent earthquake in Comm Castle land Thanks for sharing again! Quote
Josh Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Nice one mate!I really like the loom and your story to go with the MOC! Quote

My father who is in his eighties will be visiting at Christmas, so maybe he will give it a try, lol, then we'll have a lego grandad...thrash is pretty generous about letting us use his collection of legos with which to build! I have no idea what a light grey cheese slope is, but next time Thrash comes home I'll ask him to show me one, as I'm sure he probably has some, so then I can try it. Thanks for the suggestions, it's fun learning more about this. I also see what you mean about the walls not being pushed together completely in some places- I'll take care of that right away (those earthquakes can be rough)! Thanks for your help. This Community Castle Build was a great idea! Edited December 14, 2008 by Lalande Quote
Lalande Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 It's great to see all the awesome builds coming in! Time for some comments.Lalande, that is a really cool Falconer's Mews. You've included some really nice details such as the pigeon droppings (), the feeder, and the colourful cloaks on the second floor. I really like how you did the baby as well. jifel, your armoury is very neat, although there is one slight problem in that your wall is a stud to far in. Check the first post of the main thread for the wall Standard, it shouldn't be to hard to fix. Other than that, it looks very nice, I like the "cluttered" feel it has to it. Keep building guys! Hi Dragonator, I am just getting used to using this site and I figured out that you are the guy that did that amazing Manor House! That is truly a fantastic creation. So, I'm glad you are the leader of the group that I'm in! What are you making for the castle? When will we get to see it? I'm going to do the Medieval Christmas Play next, is that ok? Quote
darkagent Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Hi everyone, I'm posting my MOC creation, the Tax Collector. I apologize ahead of time for the quality of the pictures. The front of the building. The back of the building. Here are some pictures of the inside of the Tax collector working with his little helpers by the fireplace. Enjoy darkagent Quote
Thrash Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 As I've already said in the discussion thread, well done darkagent. I like his little helpers running around...maybe some of them can appear elsewhere in the town in some other entries collecting taxes from people. ~Thrash Quote
darkagent Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 My next creation is the Elven Archer Barracks. I wasn't really sure what to call it, so if you guys can think of anything better, please let me know. The front of the building. I'm still waiting for some windows with shutters to complete the build. The back of the building. The first floor horse stable. The stable boy cleaning up after the horse. The second floor living area. The roof top griffen holding area. Enjoy darkagent Quote
Thrash Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 I really like this one too. My two favorite parts are the tiled room where they live and the winged horse on the roof. As for a name, maybe you could call it a the Elvin Mercenary House, or something like that. If they're mercenaries, then it would explain why they have their own stables and why they don't live in the barracks. ~Thrash Quote
darkagent Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 The last module for now, is the Mermaid bar/brothel with alleyway. This is the front of the building. The back of the building. The alleyway with a drunk and passed out soldier. The downstairs bar with bouncer at the door. The upstairs brothel rooms. This isn't finished yet. I still want to add beds to the rooms. I really have to apologize for the quality of this picture. I was trying to get the facial expressions on the mini-figs. I apologize for going over the 5 picture limit, but I had to get the last one in. Enjoy darkagent Quote
Thrash Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Another outstanding entry darkagent. The characters all work really well, especially the expressions on their faces. I really like how one of the prostitutes is running out of the room. Also, the alley way is great. Well done on all three modules! What do you think you'll be doing next? ~Thrash Quote
Dragonator Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been dropping in as often as I should. It looks like many of you have been busy recently, I'm loving all these new creations that are coming through. I won't comment on everything, but the recent ones have been great, in particular the Tapestry Weaver which I absolutely love! I think the design for the loom is ingenious, and the various different minifigs really do add to the overall model. Darkagent has some neat ones coming in now too, they're all really well designed. I love the tax collectior, he's a greedy old bugger isn't he? Keep up your efforts guys, this team is fantastic! I'm just sorry I don't have anything to contribute yet. This is going to be one of the best castle towns ever! Aw thanks. I'm going to be working on the main gatehouse, however not for a month or so yet, as I have to finish my CCCVI siege entry in the next couple of days and then I'm going to be away for a while. You build whatever you want to next, as your first couple have been great! Quote
Matn Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I have recently joined the Eurobricks Community Castle Build, and I joined the Alpha Team, so here is my first entry. It's an apothecary. I'll start with the thumbnail for I Scream Clone: Although he's young, the apothecary owner is pretty rich, but he deserves it. He makes excellent potions for the sick people and if he had a good year of big sales, he may hand out some medecines to the poor. I've really put my time in this one. Normally I work fast on a MOC, but this time I have taken my time to make it good. It's modular! If you have money, you may have medecines. Here he makes his potions. Hey, what's that? A frog cut open? And, huh, what's that on his bed? A wizard's hat?! Quote
