Thrash Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Very nice work Thrash. You've inspired me to build another module today. Here it is, the Royal Armory I'm now very low on Lego bricks, so this might be my last module build in a while. Wow! Another beautiful creation! Everything looks great, and great use of the brickbuilt knight. For the most part, I don't like brickbuilt minifigs, but for this it works perfectly. Also, the Armory guy at the desk is great with all the agents parts. I've been wanting to use that face for a while now, but could never find the right fig to put it on. Overall just a really great job. I'll get the text on it shortly and post the thumbnail code in the main thread. ~Thrash Quote
I Scream Clone Posted January 12, 2009 Author Posted January 12, 2009 Great work on quality modules Thrash and darkagent. The colours on all are very vibrant and the figures look well placed too. Thrash could you give a clearer pic or a demo on how you built the wine rack with these pieces Quote

Thrash could you give a clearer pic or a demo on how you built the wine rack with these pieces Thanks! Of course. Here are some closeups: The black piece on top was just for lighting purposes. Some how, the whole thing covers 8 studs PERFECTLY, so it just kind of stays where it needs to. The bottle was added into it by sticking the handle of a chisel in one of the wine bottles and then shoving the other end of the chisel in the wine rack. ~Thrash Quote
Teddy Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Wow Thrash, you've been verry productive! Verry impressive. I like your wine rack a lot. Keep up the good work. Kins regards, Teddy Quote
CastleLord Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 (edited) I just finished taking pictures of my war-room here you have the flickr link: Entry (and other stuff). CastleLord. Edited January 12, 2009 by CastleLord Quote
Thrash Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Uh oh! A little competition for my war room, eh? Very nicely done, I like the maps that you did and the way you placed the guards on either side of the king. Great job! ~Thrash Quote
darkagent Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Thrash, that's a very cool technique you used for the wine rack. I don't think I would have ever thought of that. Very nice. Quote
SiRoa Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 GREAT MOC!! I always dream to make great MOC, but I jus I newbie.. great work everybody, and I will learn from this thread, to be a MOCer.. (is MOCer a right word?) cheers,, Quote
Buttons Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 (is MOCer a right word?) Well lets have a look: My Own Creation er Not strictly but I am sure it can be if you want it to be Quote
Sandy Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 great work everybody, and I will learn from this thread, to be a MOCer.. (is MOCer a right word?) Darling, anybody can make a MOC. Little kids make them all the time when they play with LEGO, and the same applies to us older folk. There's of course different qualities of MOCs, but you should never be afraid to make your own creations - they're yours after all! Quote
I Scream Clone Posted January 14, 2009 Author Posted January 14, 2009 I present my Dwarven Embassy. I would have liked to include a rail track and mine cart too but its only 12 x16 I guess. The dwarves were the only tribe keen to build inside a small mountain located within the Castle walls. They were able to create a cavernous hall for dignitaries to visit. Here's a favourite passtime for the dwarves, just to make them feel right at home within the Castle More here when moderated. Im off to try the Butcher next. Quote
Brickthing Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Ooh, very nice Embassy ISC! I love the chimney of the fireplace, with it's smoke coming off the top. However, it looks like the dwarves are trying to cave in their ceiling by mining on the top, and the dwarf by the chimney looks like he's hitting the dwarf below him with his pickaxe! Quote

Those dwarves have tough heads plus you didn't notice the half orc/dwarf imposter Quote
Thrash Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Great job ISC! That's exactly what I would expect a Dwarven Embassy to look like! I really like how you have the troll/dwarf guy standing there and all of the dwarves not noticing. ~Thrash Quote

No problem! CastleLord posted it in this post. It was a rather subtle post... ~Thrash Quote
Erdbeereis Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Nice work ISC. I especially like how you incorporated an underground feel to it, which perfectly fits the Dwarves. It looks like I have some butcher competition! Perfect title Thrash, I was wondering when you would get one like that. Quote

It was a rather subtle post... ~Thrash I think the first post is all updated correctly at the moment, thumbs, built vs not built and names (except the stairs module that someone mentioned earlier) BTW you have a really low member no. you must have joined and not posted for a long time? Nice work ISC. I especially like how you incorporated an underground feel to it, which perfectly fits the Dwarves. It looks like I have some butcher competition! Perfect title Thrash, I was wondering when you would get one like that. Nothing like some competition hey!? Quote
darkagent Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Thanks! Those dwarves have tough heads plus you didn't notice the half orc/dwarf imposter Very nice ISC. I was actually wondering about that green drawf myself. Quote
Erdbeereis Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 I won't have the butcher done for a while anyway, so you'll have the first blood. Quote
Brickthing Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Thanks! Those dwarves have tough heads plus you didn't notice the half orc/dwarf imposter I noticed him, but I assumed he was just a foreign dwarf visiting the embassy. And I'm sure that's what the dwarves figured too, because unless the orc brutally shortened his legs, he'd have to be part dwarf wouldn't he? Quote
Lalande Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Fabulous Dwarf Embassy, ISC! Very creative the way you put it into a mountainside coming into the castle... Quote
