pedro Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 All ye who shouted 'Hoth' pat thyselves on the back! I agreed and am happy with the choice... though I have quite a lot of Snowies and Hoth Rebels now! It's interesting to see LEGO releasing a couple of smaller sets for a change (though you don't seem to get much Star Wars LEGO for your money nowadays ) and I'm intrigued to see the new Freeco bike - I liked Rook's take on it and if it resembles his I'd be happy! Tri-droid... hmmm.... I have the original already. Not the most inconic fighter really and it'd probably have another of those really, really terrible looking buzz droids in it. So wish they'd change their design of them... And here's what we'd get: Obi Wan in a snow hood. Funny! But true... a Clone CAT would be awesome; but I doubt LEGO are inclined to make a new mold for just this small set at this moment in time. Err, I think I was a bit late, did anyone save the pics to their brickset acount because the links don't show the pictures, maybe TLC deleted them. I don't think there were pictures - just the listings. Worry ye not! Quote
-JD- Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Oh! I like the sound of the Freeco Bike! Probably will have two or three figures at £17. It would be amazing if it was £10! Imagine the army you could make! Those pictures will be out soon... Quote
Penitent Tangent Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 The Freeco Bike is kinda random IMO. It was only in 1 episode of the Clone Wars, but I guess it could be in season two.The figs I want if we get this are: Captain Rex (Cold Assault Gear) Clone Trooper (Cold Assault Gear) Senator Chuchi and 2 Talz and maybe one of their riding beasties. The trailer for Season 2 did show several scenes with the Snow Clones again. Quote
starstreak Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 K. That set would be coming out from nowhere. I would rather see a Tie-Defender being made. But unless you were around when when the video game came out, I guess you wouldn't know what that was too I guess. Interesting. I found out that a freeco bike is the nickname for this. (I had no idea what it was) Quote
pedro Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Hmmm... musing away here, wondering how the Freeco Bike will be scaled? If they'll keep it quite petite or use reuse the JSF cockpit for the main canopy? It'd be slightly big maybe, but the shape would be pretty close for starters... Quote

This is the Tri-droid we will be getting: NOT this: And it's so simple, just because one appears in CW and one was not. Not to mention the second was already made. So please stop talking about a new Tri-Fighter! Quote
salty tbone Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Those pictures will be out soon... I can't wait. These Rorschach test speculations are making my head hurt from all the squinting. Quote

I know the canopy is a major feature of the vehicle but I'm think they may not include it unless it is not designed for minigs e.g. midi or UCS. Edited August 11, 2009 by Skipper 24 Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 (edited) Thank you very much for that news, Big Pete! It seems as if TLG really wants to sell a TIE Defender and not a regular OT TIE Fighter! I would so love if TLG was to make a Luke's landspeeder set with Tuskens where they attack him and Obi-Wan comes and saves him. Oh, that would be wonderful! Especially if it were to come with a Bantha. I toally agree with you, Spyder and Mraz 'Skintas' - that would be awesome! At least we know have an (un)official confirmation that Luke's Landspeeder will be a real existing set and not only a rumor! Klaus-Dieter Edited August 11, 2009 by Klaus-Dieter Quote
Mraz Skintas Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Would Luke's Landspeeder also mean the return of Sand Red? Quote
Darth Legolas Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Would Luke's Landspeeder also mean the return of Sand Red? That would be nice, but haven't we already established that that is actually the Freeco bike? Two speeders, easy to mix up. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 (edited) That would be nice, but haven't we already established that that is actually the Freeco bike? Two speeders, easy to mix up. When you look at the list TheCobra posted in the News and General Discussions forum you can see that there shall be both sets - Luke's Landspeeder and a Freeco Speeder (link). Tinn-man Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 That would be nice, but haven't we already established that that is actually the Freeco bike? Two speeders, easy to mix up. I think that we're getting both. And they don't really look that similar at all. Sand red for Luke's speeder would be amazing . You know the new Luke and Old Ben go for about $20 each on bricklink? It would be amazing if we could have both of them, with tuskens, in a $15-20 set. It's such a great deal. I'm actually most excited about this set for that reason. Quote
The Who Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 (edited) That would be nice, but haven't we already established that that is actually the Freeco bike? Two speeders, easy to mix up.No. The only way we could have established what is was is if we actually saw a picture of it, which we have yet to do. Edited August 11, 2009 by booger540 Quote
RileyC Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Do the links for the sets have any info on them? I dont speak German. Quote
Stash2Sixx Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Sounds like they will be two different sets, one Freeco and the other Luke's LAndspeeder! Quote
The Rancor Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 It would seem bizarre to have the Freeco speeder and no Phase 1 clones snowtrooper sets. we can only hope that the speeder includes extra snowtroopers from the Phase 1 in the Clone Wars, because that would be great. Now, who's willing to scan a trade catalogue Quote

Yes, it would make more sense at the moment, but all rumors up to now have specifically stated Droid Tri-Fighter, including amazon. So we'll have to asume for now that that's what we're getting. Sorry if that makes you suicidal. Quote

WookieeWarrior Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 I really hope it's not one of those droid walker things and that it is a droid tri-fighter (like Ep III), mainly because it would be very similar to this: Quote
CloneCommanderDelta7 Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 (edited) It may not be like that, WookieWarrior. Hopefully it would be different and have some new figures (ie tactical droid, droid commando or a new and improved droideka) Thanks for the help Pedro and Roncanator! Edited August 11, 2009 by CloneCommanderDelta7 Quote
Darth Legolas Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Why would we have a set with a ship that never appeared in CW and was already made anyway? What's there to change about it! Come on! This time somebody better give me 5 bucks when I'm completely right like the last two times! The only bit of evidence is the supposed ARC-170. P.S. So there is a chance of Lukes landspeeder than? You know what that means, more Tuskens! Quote
Bobskink Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 the silver stromtrooper seems to be gone from S@H Europe. Quote
Penitent Tangent Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 the silver stromtrooper seems to be gone from S@H Europe. I noticed this few days back.. They've been constantly pushing the date back everytime it nears release, and now it's gone completely. Guess we're not getting it. Surprise, surprise. Quote
