Clone OPatra Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Must we get back on the ROTS vs. CW thing? There's really no point in arguing about it. LEGO is going and does say that the sets are Clone Wars because the sets have Clones and Jedi. We all know that dot eyes are more in line with non-CW sets, but what does it matter how the internet world classifies the sets? If you want the sets, buy them, and do whatever you wish with them. Decide they're ROTS and use them in ROTS scenes. Decide their CW and use them in CW scenes. Nobody's going to slap you if you stick Clone Wars clone pilots in your ARC, and nobody's going to slap you if you make a scene with both Ahsoka and Barriss. Decide for yourself how to classify the sets, and use them whoever you want, just stop arguing about classification on here. About the summer sets, the only one I can say I'm excited for is the Wampa cave and maybe the Slave I, which I think is an awesome ship. The Wampa cave looks nice since it's a sort-of a playset and there aren't many of those, but isn't just a trench and another cannon like was in last summer's Hoth set. The Slave I looks like a good, bigger redesign with great figures, and I like the new-ish color scheme. Quote
Swash Buckler Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 LinkThe swamp speeder is Clone Wars Of course- or do it look like one from a civil war- era? - but it is not "The Clone Wars" because Barris is not mangastyled almondeyed fig and clone don't have that kind of head either - all The Clone Wars sets clones have similar head Must we get back on the ROTS vs. CW thing? Unfortunately using cw-figs and normal doteyed together -many people come and say- hey you shouldn't use them together that's dumb but so it is always- i also want to see what the heck is that squareshoulder/roundshoulder thing????? Want to see pic that shows that difference... Want to see pic that shows that difference... Hey now i spotted that squareshoulder thing- very very very little difference that doesn't matter at all why so much babbling about that- looks like that some of my figs have those "square shoulders" but some don't - so that settled then Quote

Clone Wars or ROTS? But Minifigs don't HAVE shoulders! They have arms attached to their torsos, yes, but no shoulders! Rounded or Straight, Which torso do you prefer on your SW figs? Go here to discuss torsos and their look. Quote

I think if the licsense is renewed, then Lego will come up with something, they always have. CommanderFox Quote

Jar Jar Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Here's another close up on the new Barriss: http://www.flickr.com/photos/43296985@N05/...in/photostream/ She seems to be like a tanish color. Quote
RileyC Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 (edited) She looks amazing! The dots on her face are really well done. The clone looks a lot better than the old ones. I really like his utility belt it looks really cool. I really like the flick fire missiles on the swamp speeder cause they use the telescope piece really well for them Edited January 9, 2010 by Roncanator Quote

Hey that's my picture. It's okay that you used it and I am glad you like the pic. The figure is really great and the clone looks good too, but the set is a little over priced. Here is a pic of the set. Sorry the photo is so big it's just that when ever I edit photos my computer freezes, but my I am getting a new computer soon. Edited January 9, 2010 by nintha Quote

RileyC Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Would you recommend the Swamp Speeder Nintha? Quote
nintha Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Roncanator, I do recommend this set if you are either collecting the sets and/or you have money that can be wasted, I guess. I gave this set a 3.5 out of 5, because the price was very high , the build was a little repetative , but what really made the set were the figs and the little play feature which if you turn the engine thing, the wheels and the turrents move . But, that is just what I think . Quote

Steff Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 So lets hope, that we get a new Minifig-scale X-Wing-Fighter. We also need new grey Tie- Fighter. Quote
Legostein Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Hello! Interesting find! Thanks for posting that! The X-Wing is quite nice, although I can't see why there are Clonetroopers on the box/polybag cover. But that's maybe only their general new set art. People seem to buy anything with Clonetroopers anyway. Now that Nu-Shuttle, well. I am not surprised there would be an official mini version of it. But I think that mini set is poor. That cockpit with the wedge plates on the side looks quite ugly. Especially with that 1x1 stud suddenly coming out it looks quite bulky. And those wings are almost an offense. At this large scale I would have expected them to come up with something more accurate or at least proper wing connection to the body. But, in the end that's just my opinion which does not count anything. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
Jony Skywalker Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Thank you for the pictures, whung. I think, both mini sets are a good addition to the new brickmaster sets. I hope I can buy them also here, in germany. If not, I will buy only the parts, the conclusion will be the same. Quote

Barriss is awesome - never thought legofig can look so beautiful- still i think it is strange that she appeared before Ki-Adi, Shaak Ti, CW-Luminara or new Padmé- she is not so important - anyway she is nice fig but set should have at least 2 clones to be even close to the worth of it's prize Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 A huge thanks to 'Whung' for the heads up on the micro X-wing. Just downloaded the pdf, sweet looking and even the wings foldout in to attack position - COOL ! Dam it, if any one imports them into Oz they be $12 to $15 to buy as they be VERY popular ! Quote

KimT Posted January 9, 2010 Author Posted January 9, 2010 STOP TALKING PRICES HERE. Prices are to be discussed in the "Star Wars Sets Anyone?"-topic as they really are of no importance to the rumors and pictures being discussed here. Please respect that other regions of the World really doesn't care about pricing on the North Pole or in Europe. Quote

Maybe you should try getting this job, he? The X-Wing is quite nice but I don't like the shuttle. Quote
