Phantoka Kopaka Nuva Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I don't understand all the complaints around here. This new line looks promising. Despite the names and possibly childish story, these sets look pretty good, and I see a ton of recolors. The Bionicle story is continuing, too, so its not as if you have to drop it and follow this one. The MOCers get their parts, the storyline people get an extension on the story, and we get a new line with a new story that might be good as well. Everyone wins. As for the dropship, a pure technic ship for the small canister-sized figures would be awesome, but I think its just another one of these ships we've been getting these past two years, not a troop carrier. As a few others have said in this topic, it could just be a bomb-dropping ship or even a single character, judging by the others' names. T-Nui You really want a single character set that's Skopio-sized? He would be SUPER HUGE. Quote
God Iron Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 You really want a single character set that's Skopio-sized? He would be SUPER HUGE. That sounds... great! I have an idea though... What if said set was a ship and a pilot, but one in the same... Maybe transforming? Quote
The Crazy One Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I hope there is a Dropship. Something like this would make my life complete!! Avatar awesome planeish thingy that owns some tree! Then the line will die and I'll go live in a cave. Quote
Bricknave Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 (edited) And it seems that the Hero canisters will be Stars-sized. They are listed the same price as the Stars. That would explain the use of Av-Matoran legs for arms. Well, fortunately the canisters don't seem to be too <insert that tiresome argument>, so at least HerO Factory will exceed Bionicle in terms of small sets. Ooooh my god. If they put minifigs in Bionicle-style mecha suits my day would be made. I was never the biggest fan of Exo-Force, though, it just seemed like it was trying too hard to be anime-inspired and not doing so well at it.And I don't see why it wouldn't be classified as "Bionicle" at first - after all, Bionicle was once a sub-line of Technic when it first started out so I suppose it would just be labeled as so as not to confuse casual Lego fans. ~cap'n That would be pretty cool! That way, the Bionicle-styled HerO Factory sets could have a better compatibility with LEGO System. I've never purchased a normal Bionicle figure canister from the last six years of Bionicle mainly because of the lack of of some type of function other than just a launcher, but if HerO Factory could introduce Minifigs (and possibly other LEGO System elements) then there would be a higher chance of me buying a canister or two. I don't understand all the complaints around here. This new line looks promising. Despite the names and possibly childish story, these sets look pretty good, and I see a ton of recolors. The MOCers get their parts, the storyline people get an extension on the story, and we get a new line with a new story that might be good as well. Everyone wins. You're right. Avatar awesome planeish thingy! Now, if a HerO Factory set could be based on that Tilt-A-Rotor / Helicopter vehicle, HerO Factory would definitely live up to the expectations of Bionicle's successor! Then the line will die and I'll go live in a cave. THEN, after you live a few days of cave life, you discover that LEGO will come out with yet another Bionicle-type line and blurry pictures are released. After a while of debating, you and other Eurobricks members discover that a new set will be called "Starship"! Afterwards, you and company begin to discuss about how a large Technic starship meant for a Bionicle-type figure would be TOTAL PWNAGE! Edited January 4, 2010 by Bricknave Quote
LordGalewind Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Prices have been placed on a few places throughout the internet...with only actual European prices shown. If anyone can make a guess at the US prices (currency converters do not reflect at how US prices will be set) then go ahead. 7145 € 19.99 7147 €12,99 7148 €12,99 7156 €12,99 7157 €12,99 7158 €29,99 7160 €49,99 7162 €19,99 7164 €8,49 7165 €8,49 7167 €8,49 7168 €8,49 7169 €8,49 7170 €8,49 Quote
CabooseBM Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 (edited) I wouldn't be surprised if the US prices are the same numbers as the UK prices but with the Pound sign switched with the Dollar sign. Like so. 7145 $19.99 7147 $12.99 7148 $12.99 7156 $12.99 7157 $12.99 7158 $29.99 7160 $49.99 7162 $19.99 7164 $8.49 7165 $8.49 7167 $8.49 7168 $8.49 7169 $8.49 7170 $8.49 That's how Hasbro prices TFs in the UK, so I wouldn't be surprised. Artahn Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 I think we should base it on the transition from euro to USD for Bionicle. Quote
Jetrax99 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 For some reason, I cant find these new pics anywhere. Could someone please help? Quote
Artahn Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 For some reason, I cant find these new pics anywhere.Could someone please help? We've got pixels, but no real pictures. Basically, if you want to see what we saw, pick about eight different shades of red and silver, and use the air brush tool in MS Paint Quote

80 Dollar Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 This looks so bad that I don't even want to say anything I agree the pictures look really bad. You can´t really judge the themselves sets yet. ;) Quote
Trionx Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 (edited) Hey, I found another set: (Couldn't resist, sorry. ) You know, Greg was saying the other day that the HF story was going to be "episodic". He also said that LEGO isn't going to have any comics for this new line, and that they're trying to separate it from the BIONICLE marketing plan. (Makes sense, otherwise we'd just have BIONICLE under a different name.) Edited January 9, 2010 by Darth Bionics Quote

Lordofdragonss Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 What can I say... New limbs, weapons and armors... And glatorians faces!? I LOVE: Surge and Stormer weapons X-plode and Meltdown faces Quote
vexorian Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 It seems they are not mechas :( It also seems that LEGO ditching bionicle was just to get rid of all the extra costs involving its marketing style, cause set-wise these guys could have easily been a new kind of toa. (love the different color schemes though) Something that gives me bad vibes is the thing in their chests. Meltdown looks cool. Quote
Zip Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Are those bendable legs on the Impulse sets that I see? Loving all these guys, especially Xplode. Also loving Drop Ship. I'm undecided on the large box Titans and bike thing until we get better pictures. Quote
Toa Lahka Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 It says "22 Minutes", "TV", and "Hero Factory" on the villains page Quote
Bfahome Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Hawt. XPlode's head is so much better than a recolored Nektann head. <3 Also I love how they look somewhat human but mechanical at the same time. And I'm not the only one seeing a two-color Zamor sphere here, right? Oh, and if no one makes a mutant Keetongu with that yellow head I am going to be maaad. Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 It says "22 Minutes", "TV", and "Hero Factory" on the villains page I now what this can mean! If you build our sets in 22 minutes or less you can win a Tv-sized poster with awesome Hero Factory Kidz! Quote
ultimate antrozek Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Holy shit (sorry for the curse) This is just...epic oh no...it says...ANIME! WE'RE DOOMED Quote
