JeagerEX Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 (edited) That's really nice!! Especially Quirrel, Lockheart, and Spout they put them from video games to real-life minifigs. So the redesigned version of Quirrel and Lockheart in flesh tone are just appeared in the video games. Edited March 30, 2010 by JeagerEX Quote
The Crazy One Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Wow, every set gets better and better! Stunning again. You really have mastered the tecniques perfectly. Quote
The Penguin Posted April 1, 2010 Author Posted April 1, 2010 (edited) The new part is here, ladies and gentlemen! ) (Thanks for your replies! I'll answer on your kind comments later, sorry, people. ) The Dursleys. ) "Boy! Hey, boy!? Petunia, have you seen that Potter boy?" "No, Vernon. I haven't seen him.... Pumpkin, do you know where Potter is?" "I don't care...." Perhaps Dumbledore knows? (Late Richard Harris one.... Sorry, Gambon, you'll never be as good as he was! ) Moarning Myrtle sure knows! ) Or Professor Binns? ) I hope you liked that part! ) Any comments, please? ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Edited April 1, 2010 by The Penguin Quote
???theriddler??? Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 It's a good part, not one of the best, just good! Where is Harry Potter? Quote
RoryoCox Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Very nice. I like the new set just as much as like the last couple. One thing I might suggest is that the sleeves on Dumbledore could be built up more so they covered the arm and draped. Keep on customising, they have been brilliant so far. Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Good job! I like the way you made 'dad Dursley' fat and cut off their necks. The other minifigs turned out very well too, but I like the Dursleys the most, it would be great if Lego also made a 'fat torso'. Keep it up Quote
not-in-use-anymore Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 (edited) I like all of them except Moaning Myrtle seems odd to me. I've never heard of Proffesor Binns before. Can you try Dudley with a neck? Vernon matches the look because of his belly, but Dudley has none. Edited April 1, 2010 by indianajones Quote
The Penguin Posted April 2, 2010 Author Posted April 2, 2010 Woah, great figures! Keep it up! Thank you, my lady! ) Brilliant again. The newest set of figures is fabulous. The Star Wars Hoth Trooper face is perfect for Quirell. I can't wait to see some more great Harry Potter minifigures. Thanks, though the new part is unlikely to come soon, still stay tuned! ) Great Minifigs, even if they are only slightly changed. Proffesor Sprout's torso looks too clean IMO... I'd like to see an Umbridge, Lego's head looked weird. Thanks. Really? I consider LEGO Umbridge to be pretty well done. ) Actually, I've seen figs on Brickshelf by him of the Hogwarts Ghosts, Rita Skeeter, Cornelius Fudge, Flitwhick and Uncle Vernon on the second or third page under "harry potter". By him? Wow Penguin, I didn't know that you did Harry Potter figures! They're great!I love your Slughorn, the face does look like Jim Broadbent (or whoever played him). I never new the one at the end of the Philosopher Stone was Madame Prince, (for reasons unbeknownst to me right now) I always thought she was Professor Aurora (or whoever the Astronomy teacher was. I was always sad that she and her classroom went undiscribed). Your Poppy is brilliant, looks like the perfect Lego nurse! Your Flitwick is good, but why did you make me look so old! You should also make a third-movie Flickwick! Your Vernon is perfect, especially his podginess! Rita is great, both her and her outfit are beyond stunning! All of your ghosts are perfect, I love the blood on the Baron's clothes! Your Fudge is good, somewhat like mine I made (but didn't post) Your Fred and George look good, but (no offence meant) nothing jumps of as spectacular. Your sport is good, with the body looking better on her than it did on aunt may (no perverted undertones meant! ) Your pink skin-afied teachers all look good! Thanks a lot! ) it's always a pleasure to get feedback from HP fans! ) Any suggestions for future figs? Wonderful job, as usual The Penguin! I especially like your choices for the heads, Trelawney's one for example was a really clever choice Thanks a lot! ) I'm glad you liked those! ) That's really nice!! Especially Quirrel, Lockheart, and Spout they put them from video games to real-life minifigs. So the redesigned version of Quirrel and Lockheart in flesh tone are just appeared in the video games. Thanks! ) Wow, every set gets better and better! Stunning again. You really have mastered the tecniques perfectly. Thank you very much. ) It's a good part, not one of the best, just good!Where is Harry Potter? Indeed so. Anyway i hope you liked it. ) In the next part! ) Very nice. I like the new set just as much as like the last couple. One thing I might suggest is that the sleeves on Dumbledore could be built up more so they covered the arm and draped. Keep on customising, they have been brilliant so far. A very useful suggestion, thanks! ) I should definitely give it a try! ) Good job! I like the way you made 'dad Dursley' fat and cut off their necks. The other minifigs turned out very well too, but I like the Dursleys the most, it would be great if Lego also made a 'fat torso'. Keep it up Thank you, my Admiral! ) I like all of them except Moaning Myrtle seems odd to me. I've never heard of Proffesor Binns before. Can you try Dudley with a neck? Vernon matches the look because of his belly, but Dudley has none. Yep, I agree about Myrtle. I'll need to change her a bit, perhaps. ) Dudley has no big belly by the end of the book, does he? Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Quote
not-in-use-anymore Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 (edited) Dudley has no big belly by the end of the book, does he?No, I'm pretty sure he doesn't. For MM you could probably use the newer Hermione hair peice with the hair over one shoulder and create the other side. Hope that helps. Edited April 4, 2010 by indianajones Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Any suggestions for future figs? A third movie-onwards Flitwick, Professor Grubby-Plank (the substitute Care of Magical Creatures teacher), Rufus Scrimore, Fleur Delocour, Bill Weasley, Charlie Weasley and Percy Weasley are all good candidates for being made. Quote
not-in-use-anymore Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 (edited) Any suggestions for future figs?ME! ME! please teacher, call on me, I know the answer! *waves hand high up in the air to get attention* I always thought that the CoS Tom Marvolo Riddle looked silly with HP's hair. Maybe fleshietize him, along with Ginny Weasley and a non-drunk/sleepy/dumb-looking Ron? Edited April 8, 2010 by indianajones Quote
FilmGirl27 Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 A third movie-onwards Flitwick, Professor Grubby-Plank (the substitute Care of Magical Creatures teacher), Rufus Scrimore, Fleur Delocour, Bill Weasley, Charlie Weasley and Percy Weasley are all good candidates for being made. Agreed. Also, maybe Cedric and Amos Diggory, Dean Thomas? Lee Jordan? Maybe Riddle-Hermione and Riddle-Harry? Something like those. Quote
JeagerEX Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Gilderoy Lockhart.(I've always imagined him to be somethinl like this.) But his eyebrows doesn't match with his hair color. Anyways its nice. Quote
Nute Gunray Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 But his eyebrows doesn't match with his hair color. Shut up, Meg! It doesn't matter, It's good anyway. Quote
badboytje88 Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 I love how you cut away the neck of some minifigs to make them look fat. It works marvelous! Quote
The Penguin Posted July 3, 2010 Author Posted July 3, 2010 Ah-h, ladies and gentlemen! ) Long time, no posts in ythis thread! I suppose I should change the situation. With the current hype around Potter I decided to make some more custom figs. i just hope that once i get my hands on the game, it'll give me some inspiration as to what characters to make next. Your suggestions are always very welcome, of course! ) Ernie Prang. Knight Bus driver. "Next stop - the Leaky Cauldron!" Madame Olympe Maxime. Headmistress of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. "I 'ave - I 'ave big bones!" Professor Igor Karkaroff. Highmaster of Durmstrang Institute. (I just love his white Russian outfit.) I hope you liked that part! Any comments, please? ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Quote
RoryoCox Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Great to see some more Harry Potter customs. These ones are really nice. I think the Karkoroff is the best. Ernie is very nice and Maxine is very well proportioned and I like the face. Well Done. Quote
FilmGirl27 Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Great figures, Penguin! Ernie is nice and Maxtine looks a lot like she does in the film. My favorite is Karkaroff, you got him spot on! Keep up the good work! Quote
blhc11 Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Sorry for the late reply... I like theese alot, unfortunatly none of them were made by TLG(maybe it's for the best...) I wish I had gotten some sets from TGoF if I had I'd have a reason to actually want theese figs...0_o still I think next you should do some Beauxbatons(or whatever their name is, I don't pay that much attention, an it was the first I read, after all...) students like Fleur and her sister Gabrielle, I believe, also maybe make all the champions in their 3rd task outfits and maybe fist task uniforms too, since the second is just putting some baithing suits on them, and flesh legs aren't very common, of course those only appeared in one scene so they might be hard to re-create... Quote
???theriddler??? Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Awesome part Penguin! In the game, they have all these characters too, maby you can copy some things? Just wanted too help :) . Quote
JeagerEX Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 (edited) Nice job Penguin on your Karkaroff, but the one that has already made looks like a Nepalese. http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/Professor_Karkaroff Edited July 5, 2010 by JeagerEX Quote
The Penguin Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 (edited) Long time no HP characters from me, ladies and gentlemen! ) With all the interest in HP line now, I got so excited by the new sets and figs (and the game) that decided to test my skills! The result can be seen below: Rolanda Hooch. ) (As you can see I just added an old cape for her that looks so much better!) Lucius Malfoy.) (Another slight but vital modification - his staff with a silver snake. Originally it was smaller, but didn't work well at all.) Narcissa Malfoy. ) (A woman to die for! Just look at her! For me she's somewhere on the same level as Rita Skeeter. ) "A loving family....." Alastor Moody. ) (Gave him a staff, a new metal leg, hairstyle and an eye. Also please note his muddy coat with pockets.) "Constant vigilance!" Nymphadora Tonks. ) (Ok-ok, just Tonks! ) And now my favourite.... Professor Quirrel! ) (I have finally made his proper fig. Not that LEGO one wa bad, but he had wrong colors, and general shaoe still. Edit: it seems on the photo the turban looks a bit brighter than it should be.....) I hope you liked that part! ) Any comments, please? ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Edited October 3, 2010 by The Penguin Quote
RoryoCox Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Finally some more HP customs. My favourite from this set would have to be Quirrel. I love that head piece that you made and the colours are much better. Overall a really great addition to the Harry Potter world. Quote
ADHO15 Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Wow! What amazing figs! Bravo, Penguin! Madam Hooch's cloak is a simple yet effective alteration. I plan to do this with mine also. Lucius' staff is excellently-made. Narcissa looks very good, although not quite as snobby as she looks. Your Moody is much better than TLG's. Great use of the rest of the staff. He also looks a lot more scruffy now. Tonks is perfect. Great hair and torso painting. Quirrel looks so much better in a brown suit and his turban is excellent. Brilliant! Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 My favourite has to be Quirrel, his Turban is pure epicness! I also love the way you captured the colours of Narcissa's hair, it looks great! Quote
