Randal Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 I liked that ship. Made me think of the Blockade Runner. My latest entry, the World Racer set, made it into today's Brick. I have more World Race sets to put up here, but I don't have the time to do it right now. I already hogged my wife's laptop all day yesterday, so I'll have to make sure to use it as little as possible today. Quote
-R8- Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 (edited) Here is my contribution for today: set 4884 Wild Hunters. All nine constructable models that had instructions. Book 1: LXF File For some reason the size 2 axles and the pins didn't fit all the way into the hinges, hence the gaps found in the model. I am guessing that this is some kind of collision bug with the program? Superkalle Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Here's the 8097 Slave I. Only major problem are the semi-cicles around the stabilizers that don't exist in LDD. It's a pity since it's a center piece on this particular model. LXF here And if you want to see how my mod looks, you can find it here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=42887 Quote

Aanchir Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Here is my contribution for today: set 4884 Wild Hunters. All nine constructable models that had instructions. For all of the book two models, I had to use tan wedge plates instead of the bricks (which didn't seem to be available in the LDD part library). Other than the differences mentioned above, I believe that there are no other deviations from the original set to report. Were you looking in the right category? Wedge bricks (2x4 and 2x3) are available under the divider marked with a 2x2 round brick. So you should be able to fix your models in that respect without a hassle. Quote
-R8- Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 I wonder why they put it in that category But thank you for pointing that out Aanchir. I have made the appropriate edits to my last post. Quote
ADHO15 Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 I wonder why they put it in that category Like round bricks, they're shape-modified bricks, not plates, slopes, curved slopes or bricks with attachments so it makes sense that they're in there. Quote
Superkalle Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Like round bricks, they're shape-modified bricks, not plates, slopes, curved slopes or bricks with attachments so it makes sense that they're in there. I second that as the internal LEGO category ID for this category is "203 - Bricks: Special Circles And Angles". Having said that, I do too find the LDD category system quite strange sometimes. Specially when you're used to the BrickLink taxonomy (fancy word for classification system). Actually, the interesting thing with LDD is that it offers an insight to how bricks are identified, categorized and named within TLG. So using LDD we're actually looking into the bizzare and sometimes illogical world of TLG EDIT: I just realized that I'm a bit off-topic here. Now it won't be long until Index Master Calabar will come by and take me by the ear Quote
Randal Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 (edited) 5971 Gold HeistLXF File I forgot I had that one built already. I should have posted it. oh well. don't need to now. I've been trying to do the batwing today, but all the black parts (which is most of it) are almost impossible to identify, especially the further along you go. I suppose I should have doled out the parts from the parts list and then I'd have less guessing to do. Edited June 11, 2010 by Randal Quote
