Randal Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 (edited) 4506 Deep Sea Predators only minor necessary brick replacement. In one instance I left the original brick in the lxf, but replaced a light sword rod with a whip to make the angler look more like an angler. In this image, the models from the box cover (and also the three which take up every brick in the set) are in the upper right facing left. all the alt models are facing right. LXF File. I was going to do that for Brick comics (I used to drive a semi, so now I can tell all those jokes.), thanks. Now I don't have to build it. It looks a lot like a Volvo, which is the last type I drove. I'm going to recolor it for the comic. My cabs were always either red or white. Quote
AndyC Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 (edited) Continuing my theme of all things raft-y and pirate-y.... 6665 River Runners - Theme: Town LXF File Couldn't attach the backpack to the jumper plate at the same time as the tap piece. Will add to bug thread! 6240 Kraken Attackin' - Theme: Pirates LXF File 6235 Buried Treasure - Theme: Pirates LXF File 6242 Soldier's Fort - Theme: Pirates LXF File Minifig's throughout are as close as possible with artistic license on their decals. Minor substition to account for the turntable bug and string/hook is missing. I've also nearly done Shipwreck Island (just need to MOD a replacement for the rope bridge) and am working on Skull Island. I tried the Star Wars Venator, but I think you need more patience (or skill) than I have to get the hinged front piece to fit together! Edit: All updated to LDD4 including various colour fixes Edited February 1, 2012 by AndyC Quote

Can you post peeron or bricklink links to the three parts you have replaced/changed, so that it's easier for others to understand your alterations. Thanks! Quote
Enigma_UK Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 Okay chaps this is my first time using LDD so be nice, The set is Toy Story 7590, but it's only the RC. I couldn't find the set specific parts on Universe, so the spoiler and the side have no blue stickers Also had trouble with the eyes/headlights as I couldn't find the correct bits. Was done in about 90min this morning while waiting for the football to come on. So what do ya think (be nice!) Enigma (josh) Quote
Superkalle Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 So what do ya think Hi Josh. Good to see you here in the LDD section Regarding this build, there are actually quite a few problems: - First, read the rules of the topic - you must provide a link to the LXF-file - Secondly, the green color should be Lime Green. There is a topic here on the LDD forum how to get access to the all colors, inlcuding Lime. - Thirdly, you've used several replacedment parts when the original is actually in LDD Universe Mode (like the spoiler plate, the antenna etc). Please note that the models in the topic should be as accurate as possible, and if there are any parts not in LDD, you must list them carefully, preferable with parts numbers and links to Peeron or BrickLink. - Fourthly, the eyes of the car are not modeled correctly. When you build Official sets in LDD, you must build them exactly as the official Lego instructions so they are true to the original. But if you fix the above, you're on the road to becoming a real good LDD user. Quote

Randal Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 (edited) 8214 Lamborghini Policia I only finished this. The majority of this build was done by Pi. Pi ran into a problem and posted what they had in the tips tricks and bugs thread. I fixed their issue and decided to finish the build. Had I not, there would have been another impasse that would need fixing as a result of my fix. So I fixed that and then finished the build. There was a slight issue with the hood (bonnet) at the back of the car, but I didn't feel like making a rig to get some pieces closer, so I just got it as close as I could. I also had to fix some design issues to get around non-existant parts on the hood bracket, trunk (boot) bracket and first aid kit that fits in the trunk. I also couldn't find the right hub caps. prateek Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 (edited) 7198 Fighter Plane Attack LXF File The flag pieces couldn't fit on the 1x2 plates with bars and neither could the 2x2 inverted slopes in the wing detaching mechanism, so I put these pieces on the side. Edited June 13, 2010 by prateek Quote
Superkalle Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 Okay, I changed 2 of these in grey to two of these in grey May I please ask you to check the models carefully before uploading 1) There are no grey of these, so I'm not sure what you mean. And why would you have to take those instead of 32604? 2) When you open the LXF-file you get a warning "2 bricks have been removed from your model". It is always a good practice to save and the open a LXF before posting, just to make sure it's all OK. 7198 Fighter Plane AttackThe flag pieces couldn't fit on the 1x2 plates with bars and neither could the 2x2 inverted slopes in the wing detaching mechanism, so I put these pieces on the side. You are certainly right about the flag pieces. I'll report those to Lego. Great find. Quote
Superkalle Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 8214 Lamborghini Policia Looks good, but should the interior really be purple. You know this thread with official sets is a bit boring in the sence that no spicing is allowed Quote

Pi ran into a problem and posted what they had in the tips tricks and bugs thread. I fixed their issue and decided to finish the build. Thanks for fixing and finishing what I started, Randal! By the way, I'm only one person, not a 'they'. Looks good, but should the interior really be purple. You know this thread with official sets is a bit boring in the sence that no spicing is allowed I've fixed it, and added a second refrigerator box on the outside (with the three 1 x 1 round plates that are supposed to be in the box) for easier reference of the accessories of the set.8214 Lamborgini Polizia (Racers - Lamborghini) LXF file A couple of changes I had to do because of missing parts in LDD: The brick with clip holding the stop sign is supposed to be this piece, but it doesn't exist in LDD so I used two 1 x 1 plates and this piece. The engine exhaust pieces at the back would not fit onto the 2 x 12 plate the instructions said to put onto, so I added 1 black 1 x 1 round plate to each of the pipes before placing the pipes themselves on. When indexing it, could credit be given as a two person collaboration (for example, "by ILikePi and Randal")? Randal helped do a whole bunch in the model. Edited July 18, 2010 by ILikePi Quote
Randal Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 Looks good, but should the interior really be purple. You know this thread with official sets is a bit boring in the sence that no spicing is allowed That interior color is listed under the blue palette. If you are focused on authenticity though, I built the Ferrari FXX without Gio's modifications. That will be the last time I start on an official build without checking this thread first... =B Quote
prateek Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 8959 Claw Digger LXF File Because of the 5.5 long axle with stop glitch, I placed them on the side and replaced them with 6 long axles in the model. Quote
