Known Inaccuracies: - Baseplate 32 x 32 with Craters missing: I made a very stylized alternative, I'll have to work on it, in the future. - Space Window 4 x 4 x 6 Outward Sloping Corner (4737) replaced with a kludge of slope bricks. It was available in LDD3 version. - Technic pin bush 1/2 with teeth (4265a) has been replaced with Smooth type (32123). - Hinge Plate 2 x 5 missing (3149c01), replaced with... a bit of fantasy! - I used minifig head with hollow stud (3626b) instead than old type (3626a). - Many decorations missing, replaced if possible. Comments: It is my favorire Space Station. Surely it is not perfect, but I think the final result is enough good! Edited January 22, 2016 by Calabar Quote

Brickdoctor Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Time to give ADHO15 more competition. Accompanying the afore-mentioned ARC-170 Fighter-bombers were the Republic's new Alpha-3 Nimbus-class 6205 V-wing Starfighters. Agile enough to keep up with Tri-fighters and Eta-2 Actis Interceptors alike, they utilized the new TIE drive system. .LXF File Changes are the minifig, printed bricks changed or substituted, and I had to tweak the internal Technic structure in the wings due to a part not available in LDD, but it's not visible. Brickdoctor Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 (edited) - the 2 pieces to the side can't fit onto the #6 Technic connector. What if you stick a Technic pin with stud into the #6 joint, run a 4L bar through that, and would the 1x1 rounds slide onto the bar? The assembly won't be perfect, but it'll it should work. Jan Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 10194 Emerald Night (BrickLink - Brickset) LXF file Notes: For all 5.5L Technic axles with stop rings, I substituted in a 5L axle because of the stop ring glitch. The 1 x 2 brick with axle hole behind the furnace had to be replaced with a 1 x 2 panel. This does not allow the furnace to attach to the caboose via Technic pins and axles. The flame piece inside the furnace does not exist in LDD, so I used a trans-orange drill instead. The 1 x 2 tiles under the furnace have been replaced with 1 x 2 plates. I used a combination of four cheese slopes, one 1 x 4 tile and one 1 x 4 plate instead of the 2 x 4 x 2/3 slopes. The larger train wheels have been replaced with a different wheel. This replacement does not allow the Technic beams to attach to all three of the replacement wheels. P.S. Thanks for the tag, Superkalle! used a combination of four cheese slopes, one 1 x 4 tile and one 1 x 4 plate instead of the 2 x 4 x 2/3 slopes. these are available, they are in the "windshield" submenu. Seeing as this is more of an index of sets than "hey look what I did", I'd like to reiterate an earlier suggestion to check the index on the front page which has been recently updated to see what sets are already posted and work on the sets that are not. Why can't there be multiples like in the review indexes in all the other forums? I think that's a good idea because you get to see different people's solutions to a common problem. There doesn't seem to be any problems with those indexes. It seems pretty pointless to just throw out someone's work like that. I myself probably made the General Grievous statue before messiah1 made his, but I couldn't post it at the time. Surely it can't be hard to add two of the same set. Randal Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Don't let me stop you from doing what you want, I was just under the impression that this was an encyclopedic index. I was just thinking that endless multiple redundancies would clog up the thread and make an already large project thread more confusing. But if you want to show your versions of what's already here, by all means, as long as the powers at be don't have a problem with it. ;) Quote

Only change is that the beard is supposed to be a 1x1 round; apparently it gets too close to the cheese on the arms to be allowed in LDD. Cool how it opens I wouldn't call this an official Lego set though. I suppose the minimum criteria for posting in this topic should be that instructions was/is available to the general public. About that 1x1 round that can't be placed. I can't see how that can be fitted even with real bricks. Have you built the model with physcial bricks? How was the fit? As general information, designers at LEGO uses a rule of thumb that you should be able to slide a piece of paper between bricks in these sort of cases. Can you do that? If you can then there is a problem in LDD. If you can't - Illegal building technique. Quote

Aanchir Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 7029 Skeleton Ship Attack For some reason, the arch piece on the front of the ship doesn't fit. I suspect there's some sort of collision with the front of the ship and the arch. My brother encountered that error. Can't remember if I reported it. It doesn't seem like it's an error that exists with the actual piece, but since I don't have any sets with that hull I can't say for sure. Aren't there supposed to be a couple of dark silver spheres as ammo for the catapult? The sphere piece in question can be found under the Technic bullet, listed as "ball [diameter symbol]16,5". The diameter symbol is a circle with a diagonal line through it. Quote
