DoubleT Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 Hi The First Transformers teaser poster have bin relased... see att: picture... A Good guess would be it Megatron's eye... btw. the countdown is for when the Teaser Trailer is out... Quote
optimus-convoy Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 Oh yes, nearly wet myself the first time I saw that... Can't wait to see that teaser trailer. I like what they did with the eye with the intricate details and pupil instead of just "glowing sockets", makes (Megatron?) look more realistic. Quote
UltraPrime Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 Whilst it may be Megatron's eye, the larger poster shows it is the Decepticon symbol looking over the Earth... http://www.aint-it-cool-news.com/display.cgi?id=23545 Quote
DoubleT Posted June 11, 2006 Author Posted June 11, 2006 Hmm still think its Megatron..... cant see a real Decepticon symbol.... But might be wrong *sweet* Quote
optimus-convoy Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 Hmm still think its Megatron..... The brightened pic below should clear things up. ;-) It's definatly a giant Autobot symbol. Quote
5150 Lego Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 So is this going to be a CGI film? Or will there be acctual people in this? Looks good from the poster at least. Quote
DoubleT Posted June 19, 2006 Author Posted June 19, 2006 Yes Real People.... and roboys like the cool Citro Quote
xwingyoda Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 Hey TT, Citroen released a new Mech commercial for the C4 which is also great !! The C4 transforms in a mecha (like previously) but instead of dancing, it does some speed ice skating on a frozen lake 8- Quote
Lord Thrawn Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 I've seen that advert as well, and I thought it was brilliant. It's obvious that the film will borrow the idea, and it is highly likely that they'll improve the graphics, as it is a high budget movie. I'm looking forward to it! Quote
Jipay Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Well improving the citrone robot would be really hard as it is already highly detailed ! But I do hope this movie to be more than another special effects show Quote
xwingyoda Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 What do you expect ? It will only be an overflow of CGIs, nothing more !! *yoda* Quote
UltraPrime Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Teaser trailer will debut on official site on July 4. 2 weeks today..... Quote
optimus-convoy Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 The Transformers teaser trailer is finally on the internet! (And before July 4th for some reason.) It really is a tease, but still worth checking out. Official Site (the hyperlink won't work for some reason just copy & paste http://www.transformersmovie.com) The official site takes forever to load, so heres lower quality downloadable version Quote
xwingyoda Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Darn optimus-convoy, you beat me to it :-P What can I say ? This looks like real CRAP :-X Yeay a Rover was sent to Mars (ring a bell anyone) and was attacked by a crap looking robot !! meeesssaaa scared !! Lets hope for a better trailer, but this does not look promissing at all !! I'll edit the thread title to add teaser hehe *yoda* Quote
Hobbes Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 What can I say ? This looks like real CRAP :-X Well, no surprise to me... Quote
xwingyoda Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 I fully concur Hobbes ;-) MB is a major crap/money producer and director !! The only movie which I liked actually was The Rock and the rest is just :-X I hardly can wait for this brilliant movie to come out :-D *yoda* Quote
DoubleT Posted June 30, 2006 Author Posted June 30, 2006 If you Smeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel..... What The Rock...... Is.... Coooocking.. OHHHH Wrong The Rock... Sorry ;) Ahhh yes the Movie The Rock are a great movie... And ill wait to judge Transformes until i see more.. Remember many said Casino Royal would be bad, until they look at the trailer, and it looks good.... Hope both films will be good Quote
UltraPrime Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 The reason the teaser was released early was someone posted a bootleg on youtube a few hours earlier - caused a bit of a problem, to say the least. As for the teaser itself, no, it wasn't great, but it was only a teaser. I'm not judging the (very) brief appearance of a transformer as it was too obscured to analyise, plus with 12 months till the film's release designs are by no means final. As for Michael Bay, I'll not judge him till I see final film. Yes, he has had a few films that were not great, but he isn't the only 'name' attached to this. Don Murphy is a TF fan, and that can only be good, and Steven Spielberg is very hands-on, which can only be good. We shall see what happens... Quote

Still from the leaked pics that are on the net I, as a very avid TF fan (boyhood memories *wub* ), don't like the robot's style at all. They look way to flimsy and "un-transformer-ish" to me. Kinda like the, aforementioned, transforming robot from the C Quote
Vader Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Hmmmm i have very mixed feelings about this film, im a huge TF fan hell i still watch TF: The Movie when i have the time. When i first heard about the new film i like many others thought that it was a terrible idea as i believed that it just wouldnt work, but after seeing the trailer i know believe that it could turn out good. When the TF first started the idea was that they were few and didnt want to be seen by the public thus leading to the disguise part, this for me was a great concept i mean even back then in 1984 earth weapons could of done some serious damage to the robots in disguise. So for this film to be successful i think that it would be best for the script to play on that as best it can, as for the design of the TF well i think that they should be shown with wires and hydrolics showing just like in the citroen ad as it shows that they are not all powerful and could be destroyed by earth weapons. Don Murphys involvement is good, i wonder if Bob Forward or Simon Furman were ever asked for there imput? Anyway i look forward to seeing more before i pass judgement. Quote
UltraPrime Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Hmmmm i have very mixed feelings about this film, im a huge TF fan hell i still watch TF: The Movie when i have the time. Me too! Don Murphys involvement is good, i wonder if Bob Forward or Simon Furman were ever asked for there imput? Simon was involved in early stages, but isn't any more. When I saw him last month, he said he saw very early concepts for the TFs, and they were nothing like he has seen before! I see this as a new phase in the Transformers story, in the same way Armada, Energon and Cybertron were, and don't expect it to be the same as the original. I am most definately a TF fan first (my collection dwarfs my lego collection) and am really excited about seeing this film. My two boys are TF fans too, and are really looking forward to it! Quote

Glad to hear that Furman's been involved as hes a great writer, i agree about the new phase for a movie its best that they started off without any backlog of storys. Is there any news on what TF's we are likely to see?? Quote
