Very nice episode indeed! Can't wait to get the Bounty Hunger Gunship!

By the way, def, the ship is called The Halo.

An easy way to get away with a long, drawn-out battle like that would be to have Sugi/Obi-wan shout, "Wait! I want him alive!"

Why would they need to say that? Jedi don't kill out of principle. Therefore, I don't think that duel was that bad, although it was still a bit annoying, mostly due to Hondo's monkey-lizard.

That hat weapon trick is similar to real-world boomerang.

Yeah, except his hat looks nothing like a boomerang, more like a Frisbee. But I do agree that the laws of physics may be stretched in science fiction for the sake of coolness, and I think they pulled it off very nicely here. Go Embo!

Oh, and Embo's hat trick was terrible, as cool as he was. Since when do hats bounce back to their owners?

His trick was great. And it wasn't really a hat. First, he stopped lasers with it, then he threw it. Since when do hats bounce back to their owners? When Captain America is throwing it. :classic:

Thanks, I'll update it.

Just to let you know the random monster On Felucia is called Jungle Rancor. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jungle_rancor

Thanks, I'll add that too!

Since Indiana Jones default_laugh_new.gif

From what i've seen, this is a cool episode. It would look better if the had the TFU Felucians instead of these ones..

Remember I am still new here there are some things I have not got yet like quoting the whole review :sadnew:

But you don't really have to quote the whole review. As a matter of fact, you don't have to quote anything. Just click the reply button. Sorry if this sounded blunt.

On topic, that Jungle Rancor is pretty cool, but I doubt that will ever be released. Just look at the size of it!

I think that was the problem, he clicked the Reply button (thus quoting the whole review) instead of clicking the Add Reply button (the right thing to do). I understand it gets confusing sometimes as I even make the same mistake every once in a while. But still, it is the poster's responsibility to review his post before and after posting it.

I think we'd get the more significant Rancor from Jabba's Palace first before we'd ever get this minor background creature with mere seconds of exposure.

A really nice episode, though definitely not 10/10 for me. The Ryloth trilogy were 10/10 episodes imo, but Bounty Hunters lacked a real threat as an opponent - yeah, a few farmers might get shot, but Hondo would never kill a Jedi. The Weequay are cool, without a doubt, but I still think commando droids/Ventress are better enemies. Sugi and Embo were cool, though.

Anyway, it was a rather unusual episode, but it shows how good TCW can be without the titular clones and war.

I think you have fair points. It's hard not to grade on a curve. Season Two really wasn't much better than season one. Production values are much better, but the stories have been pretty lame. Personally, I haven't started on season three yet, partly since I'm not enthusiastic whatsoever.

But, once season two is done this year, maybe we'll get into the next season. I don't think the show is going downhill (did anyone else suffer through the show Heroes perpetual slide?), but I hope it is consistently decent.

Ah, I was one of the unfortunate ones who suffered in disappointment witnessing the downhill slide of Heroes, :hmpf:. I agree the Clone Wars is still fairly decent, not that spectacular overall, but consistent with the previous two seasons.

I had hoped season two would be more consistent than season 1 after seeing the great first episodes, but it's really about the same level. There are great episodes, good ones, and lame ones about the Senate or Mandalore. I do believe that they should stop doing episodes like that - the Mandalore trilogy in season two was bad enough, but it looks like we're getting another few Mandalore/Satine episodes in season three (haven't watched them yet). It's really hard to understand why they still think people like seeing senate debates. Bounty Hunters was a good example how an alternative episode should be done.

I haven't really been keeping up with Heroes lately... I just wish it wasn't so confusing after missing even just one episode!!!

From what I've heard of season three, it is pretty good.

Everyone who watched it agree's Arc Troopers was just as good as landing at point rain and all the other episodes have had great moments but not great the entire episode.

Also clone cadets takes place before Rookies and Arc Troopers just after Rookies.

Season three had a great start with two or three extremely good episodes, but by now we already had some extremely boring stuff. ARC Troopers was indeed one of the best episodes ever, however Corruption is probably the worst. But we still got a few season 2 reviews ahead of us first ;)

I did  . It had Anakin at least, while there's no Jedi in Corruption, and it was the beginning of the Geonosis storyline which was awesome. Corruption only leads to more Mandalore episodes, has boring action and big logic errors. However, Senate Spy is still close. (Man, why are all the Padme episodes so bad?) We should make a ranking of the worst episodes as well as one of the best.

I wouldn't say so most people I know gave corruption 6 out of 10 for the shooting at the end while all my mates on mastertoons gave senate spy at most 2 out of 10

Agreed. I think a Rancor just a bit bigger than the Lego Wampa will be just fine.

Episode 18: The Zillo Beast

Desperate times call for desperate measures! In one of the longest and fiercest battles of the war, Separatist forces are on the verge of claiming the planet of Malastare. If the Republic loses this planet it will cost them vital fuel resources necessary for maintaining their armies. In a final effort to turn the tide of this battle, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine has authorized the use of the Republic's newest weapon: the ELECTRO-PROTON BOMB.

Now, at the Imperial palace of Doge Urus, the leader of the Dugs, the Jedi count down the minutes until the detonation of their doomsday device....

OK, so the Republic wants to win a war on Malastare, home of the dugs, Sebulba's race, in order to get fuel from the natives (will the Iraq references ever end?), so they invent a nuke that only affects droids. Yay! But unfortunately, when they test it, it creates a giant sinkhole which a bunch of clones fall into. After they lose contact with the rescue party, Mace Windu has to go in to save them himself, along with some other clones. They find some of the missing clones, but they also find a Zillo beast, the last survivor of a race of giant, ancient, indestructible monsters. Anakin flies in to distract it and loses his Jedi starfighter in the process. Once everyone is safe, it's time to talk. The dugs want to kill the beast, but Windu protests, saying the beast is innocent, and Palpatine supports him because he wants to study its impenetrable armor. And so they device a plan to which fake the killing of the beast in order to get both the beast and the fuel, which works out more or less as planned. At the end, the beast is transported off to Coruscant.

This episode was alright. The beginning battle had the potential for an epic fight, and it was good while it lasted, but fell too short due to the bomb being dropped, although the big explosion that followed did kinda make up for it. The fact that Anakin's prosthetic hand malfunctioned was a nice detail. The rest of the episode was just a big "should we kill it or not?" debate, and the Republic's plan worked out almost too easily. The dugs were pretty stupid characters, even more so than Sebulba, charging into battle with nothing but electro staffs and constantly provoking the Zillo beast. The most interesting part of this episode is probably how it plays into ROTS. While Anakin is OK with killing the beast at first, Windu is against it, which is pretty much the opposite situation to when they were debating the fate of Darth Sidious. Did this incident (and the one that followed on Coruscant) cause Windu to abandon some of his Jedi principles and deem Sidious as "too dangerous to be kept alive" later on? Also, it's quite understandable that Palpatine would want to study the beast since that would allow him to have lightsaber-proof troopers for Order 66. Overall, the episode wasn't bad, it just seemed strange introducing a Godzilla into the Star Wars Universe. 7/10

An interesting new tank appeared in this episode. It's called a stun tank and is basically a smaller, hovering version of the SPHA-Ts that we saw in AOTC. It didn't do much except stun Zillo and cause Hyena Bombers to crash into AT-TEs, but I like its design.

There was also this strange device which I like to call Frisbee Launcher of Doom. It's a Dug debris loader combined with a Dug rail gun. It's probably too insignificant to be made into a set, but if it was a set, it would have great playability (pick up ammo, load ammo onto launcher, aim, shoot ammo, repeat).

Dug debris loader and rail gun.

This episode saw the Clone Wars debut of the ARC-170 Starfighter which luckily has already been released as an excellent set earlier this year.

From Brickset:

One of the new characters is Dr. Sionver Boll, the alien scientist who created the electro-proton bomb. Kind of an interesting looking character.

Then there's Nakha Urus, the leader of the dugs. As I said above, the dugs are annoying characters, and he's no exception, but not as annoying as the craptastic Sebulba fig that we got over a decade ago, so it would be nice to get a new and improved dug fig, even if it has to be this guy.

Nakha Urus

The Dug warriors rode on these things called Insectomorphs. Interesting creatures, and it's always good to get more alien animals. Perhaps we could get them in a dug warrior battle pack?

Insectomorphs

And last but not least, there's the star of the episode, the Zillo Beast itself. It's basically just a giant lizard, but it might make for an intersting brick-built monster.

Lego ships appearing: AAT, ARC-170 Starfighter, AT-TE, Anakin's JSF, RGS, Dropship, V-19 Torrent, Hyena Droid Bomber, Vulture droid, Dwarf Spider Droid, Snail Tank.

Lego Wishlist: Stun Tank, Dug debris loader and rail gun, Sionver Boll, Nakha Urus, Dug warriors on Insectomorphs, Zillo Beast.

Next: Godzillo attacks Tokyo Coruscant!

I agree the opening sequence was kinda cool, most especially since we get to see the ARC-170s finally debuting in the series. I just noticed right now that the paint job is different from the 'standard' ones, maybe because they are initial releases/prototypes? And I actually like the concept of the episode (and the next one) paying homage to Godzilla.

Maybe they're red to match the Red Republic Y-wings, themselves a remake of the Red Y-wings originally in AnH.

It's a shame we just got a lego ARC 170 - a TCW one with three of the rare clone pilots would have been awesome.

The opening battle was one of the best scenes of the whole season, although the dugs were ridiculously bad fighters. And how stupid is it to use a stun tank against bombers, making them fall down on your troops instead of blowing them up? But we still might get the tank as a set, it is a cool design.

The episode got a lot more boring after the opening - the Zillo beast itself is rather stupid, and the discussion was boring. Altogether 7/10 seems just fine.
