The arms should be dual-colored like the head. The dark flesh arms look kinda weird.

@KimT: There is Quinlan Vos instead of Anakin in the first post. The numer of figs in the battle of naboo set is known by now, so I think it should be changed from 3+ to 10

Wouldn't that be 12?

I count 8 Battle Droids...

Of course, I meant that there are 10 droids, which should replace the "several". All in all there are 12 figs.

Liking the Battle for Geonosis! What's up with Luminara's eyes though?

She has two prints on her head, one with glasses and one without.

Some photo.

The figures are great, the Carrier not so much. It would look ten times better in brown! :hmpf_bad:

Thanks for the pictures anyway. :classic:

Cool! THe minifigs look really nice, some great head and body printing going on in Billund! :classic:

The ship looks nice but kinda smaller that what I thought it would be.

Thanks for the pictures! :sweet:

The Dk. Tan is a more accurate color, but brown would match the previous vehicles.

Urgh. Don't like the tan arms or printing on Jar Jar, or the droid carrier's colour. I'll live, but I'm glad I have two Gungans already. :sceptic:

Now with the new bomb squad trooper legs, I want Cody to use those legs on. Perhaps he'll be released in a set with those legs, because otherwise if I do get him I'll need to take off a bomb squad trooper's legs.

The carrier looks even worse than on the first pictures :hmpf_bad:

The color is quite nice imo, but the design is just...not right. It comes pretty close to the movie version, but still it looks kind of unfinished.

Now I really don't think I'll buy this, unless I find myself in desperate need of more battle droids. But thanks for the great pictures as qui gon jinn:thumbup:

I like the back of the package - no functions to display, so they just show how awesome new Jar Jar is

I'm liking the Battle of Naboo set more and more every time I see it. But the droid rack needs some modding. While it's nice that they gave us a place for the blasters, that rack really should be packed with droids.

The Battle for Geonosis set looks really good, too. Even if it includes another sub-standard BARC. Luminara for the win! As for price, I get the feeling it will be similar to the MF Hailfire set, or the Homing Spider Droid set. Just a gut feeling. Perhaps a TRU exclusive?

Agree with the droid rack, the system is almost the same as in the MTT. I also think it's to short and is capable of holding to few battledroids. The place for the blasters is kinda out of place in the rack.

@qui gon jinn

Why not do a review if you've got the set? With those pictures you're almost there.

They're not his pics.

As for the set, I think it would've been better to make it with dk. brown and regular brown, instead of the dk. tan.

I'm making an arrangement with Bull to have one. I'll do a review before the end of holidays.

On the bright side, they appear to have re-fixed the pilots, I don't know why they changed them in the firs tplace, but they're better now again. I'm loving that shield!

Not really. Now it's tan printing on blue, which is still not as accurate as the original blue printing on tan. :hmpf_bad:

Thanks for the pics qui gon! The printings on the Gungans are just fantastic, even the printed mask of the Gungan soldier looks great! I actually like the dark flesh arms, it looks more realistic than a fleshie one. I think these two are reason enough to buy this set.

I'm not quite familiar with the actual build of the V-Wing, but Doc is right, small starfighters like that and the JSFs should have landing gears. Why couldn't they just put similar landing gears of the Delta-7B to the V-Wing? Maybe not exactly the same, but something similiar, it would just be wrong not to have one.

Alpha-3_Nimbus.jpg

You can see here that the V-wing's underside is flat. If you remember in Revenge of the Sith the V-wings did not deploy any landing gear as they landed; they only pivoted their wing mounts. Maybe LEGO incorporated a Technic system (as on the V-19) for some sort of pop-out landing gear when you turned the wing mounts... but that's unlikely, considering the size and price range of the set. And anyway the most accurate choice would be for the V-wing to have no landing gear, as it has enough leverage to land on its underside when the wing mounts are rotated.

EDIT: Why would it be "wrong not to have" landing gear for the V-wing? It doesn't look like it's supposed to have landing gear in the first place. TIEs don't have landing gear either - do you find that "wrong"? What about other prequel fighters without landing gear, like the N-1 or the Nantex fighter? (Yes, they are too smooth to be legitimate Star Wars, but they are canon, whether I like it or not.) If I remember correctly, the ARC-170 doesn't have landing gear either.

No way we're getting that much stuff for $30. Not having known LEGO in the last three years. The droid carrier is certainly a huge improvement over the last two renditions but it's still too small. If LEGO had decided to knock the fancy printed Gungans they could probably have increased the size of the carrier, or at least added another droid or two. (Not that anyone really wants droids anymore now that the new series made them deathly annoying - more stormtroopers, LEGO!)

Don't mind me being picky, but another issue I have with the V-Wing is the guns. The guns on the original are just perfect, but the new one seems awkward with the 1x4 SNOT plate on the 1x2 brick (not sure what it's called) with 2 cones on it. The old one used 2 lightsabers in black attached to the wing via Technic parts, which was much better IMO.

But I'm still getting it.
