WhiteFang Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Discuss the Index of Town Layouts here. Discussions in this topic include: A request that your overlooked Layout be added to this index. A major update to your city. Posted images in an old topic that are no longer able to be viewed. A thumblink in the index doesn't have the correct large thumbnail image associated with its topic. And any other related items. Please, post the link of your requested Layout topic to be included in the Index. If a request has in the post, then the Layout in the post has been indexed. In order to be indexed, a Town Layout needs to have their own dedicated topic or sometimes within a topic. It is highly encouraged for members to create their own topic for their layouts. We plan to have all Layouts posted here added to the index, so if you post a Layout, please wait a couple weeks before requesting it to be added to the index. The Town Staff will try to keep up on it, but things get very busy. Thanks. Quote

WhiteFang Posted October 26, 2010 Author Posted October 26, 2010 Great idea to make a new town index Thanks Brickviller. I hope with everyone's help, this soon updated WIP index could serve as new grounds for our love of LEGO Town. Quote
Zorbas Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 FANTASTIC idea Fangy! Having an index including EB members' layouts sounds beautiful! I still don't have a layout (so many sets, so little time and space... ) so I'll just share my preferences from others. I'll just have to wait for a little just in case somebody wants to submit his own layout that happens to be in my favorites. Just one question: I've seen some town layouts in here from time to time that don't have their own topic (in a "Hello my name is.." topic for example). Do these qualify? I suspect no, just asking for clarification. Great idea for once more! A Eurobricks Town Atlas! We're gonna have some drooling over the keyboards. Quote

wooootles Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 I would add mine in the future, but I'm afraid all I have right now is cars and buildings---no infrastructure to speak of. I'll probably start 2011 buying 20 sets of roadplates though... Great idea, btw. We can be awesome and put other town destinations in our Train stations, for example! Quote
Fuzzylegobricks Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 hey guys i just moved houses so all my town is on shelves not put together again yet. so i was wondering when the deadline to post a comment with our town and name info is? (breaking it down) when is the deadline? Thanks love this awesome idea! Quote

It's a "No", unless of course these members who done in this manner could create a new topic and let them upkeep from there. so i was wondering when the deadline to post a comment with our town and name info is? (breaking it down) when is the deadline? There is no deadline. Just post it here once you got the info and I will include in my WIP, until I feel its ready to launch it, the index will still continue to update based on the given input. Quote

All of the buildings, vehicles, street elements are still in one piece, but currently stored in boxes. It is completely modular, because I intended to take it to public LEGO events. However, so far the only time I had the whole thing set up was when I took the pictures. Cheers, Ralph Quote

WhiteFang Posted November 6, 2010 Author Posted November 6, 2010 Splendid guys! I am still working on it and it will take awhile. I never seen some of the town layouts before and I am very sure these will be great inspiration for many others like myself. Keep it coming. Quote
Izy Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 (edited) Some people started to post their city's in a 2 year old topic here http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=15697&st=45&gopid=859096entry859096 So I thought this post might needed a BUMP, since people were able to find a 2 year old post started by a non active forum member over thisone. ... made me laugh a little bit, didn't anyone noticed ? And what about this topic: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=16627 It has the link of the 2 year old topic in the townslist... I'm a little bit confused... WhiteFang Posted November 20, 2010 Author Posted November 20, 2010 Some people started to post their city's in a 2 year old topic here The earlier topic which you have mentioned is also taken into consideration as part of the clean up. I planned to re-arrange them again, so it could be current and useful for our community. I am still working on it but it will needs to take time. Apologies for the delay. Quote

Capn Frank Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 This topic has been renamed from Calling to all Eurobricks Town Mayors/Planners to become the Index Discussion of Town Layouts. Not all of the original layout requests in this thread have been added to the Index of Town Layouts, but I will add them as soon as I can. Topics indexed in this thread contain at the top of the post. I mainly focused on adding all of the layouts with topics and working images from the now closed Towns Index, so that there is only one thread for requesting to add layouts into the index. Thanks.
