Mr. Elijah Timms Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 You guys should read back on some of these pages... Klaus notwithstanding, this thread has resorted to pretty much a mass regurgitation of past ideas from earlier pages. There's some great ones back there-- and if it's coincidental or not, some have made their way into series 3!! Quote
dyntar Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Just a couple of ideas. Gender: Male Occupation/print on torso: Genie - sand green bare chest with dark red waist coat. Ogre Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 (edited) The head of the magician is pretty close, yes? Combined with the caveman body/legs and a customized barbell/dumbbells... It's pretty much exactly the mod that I'm making, except I'm keeping the modern weights from S2...for now...maybe... BTW...in case anyone is wondering: cutting a "light sword blade" EXACTLY in half, gives the PERFECT size for two dumbbells for a 'strongman' figure. I used grey to simulate a metal bar. (I can't believe I actually altered a piece of LEGO! I guess I'm no longer a 'purist'. *sigh*) Edited October 24, 2010 by Ogre Quote
Gabe Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Brilliant suggestions! Fwiw, i'm throwing my vote behind beekeeper, gardener, zulu warrior, mongol archer, highland piper, amazon warrior, 18th century composer (yes!), wushu martial artist, nun (double yes!! i want a heap of those), buddhist monk, faun/satyr and crazy cat lady. I really really would like to see a more complete line up of martial arts represented... i know it's a crazy dream, but there are 4 there already, right? (Karate, wrestling, ninjutsu and sumo in s3) Wushu/kung fu would be awesome, especially in a silks/sash torso and leg pattern! A fencer would rock too, also a western boxer, maybe muay thai boxer and a capoeirista as well... won't someone think of the "ultimate tournament" MOC's that could be made? Btw, while i'm at it, can we please also make some of the martial artists women?? Actually, more female minifigs all round would be super nice. I'd love to see a female only collectable set... it would go a long way to redressing the horrendous gender imbalance in my minifig collection. Quote

exon_from_youtube Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 well if the thinkers at lego have not thought about wheelchairs and ramps and cripple figs, then why am I thinking about it... I had an uncle that lost his leg due to a motorcycle wreck caused by a un chained dog running out in front of him on a road in Mass..... He dumped his bike rather then hitting a dog then slid into a road sign and got gutted bad.... long story short he had a blood clot get jammed in his leg and it went bad fast.... took him almost a year to recover and to every ones surprise he went out and bought a custom road king from Harley with a side car and reverse tranny.... He never stopped riding even with one leg... He later died having a phantom pain on the highway and the doctors said he died fast (was good to know because a long death sucks) when I made my city I was inspired to make a model of him down to the skull cap helmet he always road with.... Yes he has one leg, had some broken pants and was missing the right leg so I used them to complete the model.. Legos has the parts already to produce wheelchairs, so why not? Quote
lifeinplastic Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Gender: Female Occupation/print on torso: University Graduate (gown). Type of headgear: Mortar Board. Type of facial expression: It would be cool to have more variation in female faces so this would hopefully have some glasses (but no goofy mouth and please don't show teeth - i hate those figures!). Color on torso/legs: black Accessory: black cape as graduation gown scroll or a book/bag (not important) Also, seeing as the lifeguard in series 2 was clearly Pamela Anderson, it would be cool to see other famous lookalikes such as Cleopatra, Lincoln, Charlie Chaplin, so for my other choice I'll say Elvis Presley! Gender: Male Occupation/print on torso: Elvis impersonator Type of headgear: Black hair (with quiff). Type of facial expression: Elvis (maybe wearing sunglasses but again no goofy mouth and please don't show teeth - i hate those figures!). Color on torso/legs: White Elvis Jumpsuit Accessory: Microphone and white cape I REALLY LOVE THE MINIFIGURE SERIES AND HOPE THEY CONTINUE FOR A LONG TIME. I WOULDN'T MIND EACH SERIES OVERLAPPING THOUGH TO ALLOW MORE TIME TO COLLECT THEM ALL! It would be fantastic to see more musical instruments as accessories to form bands or orchestras (tubas, guitars, violins, saxaphones) and the figures representing different cultures are also great. I'm sure the sports will continue and hopefully the theme will continue to repeat previous figures but made slightly different (e.g. another different tennis player, clown, baseball team....) Also, in response to the above post. I like the idea above about the wheelchair (please note the word cripple may appear slightly offensive). Hopefully this could be a moulded piece for a manual wheelchair, a bit like the red cargo trolley and would fit in well with a future hospital/medical theme, which would hopefully not be so emergency-orientated. Peanuts Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 As mentioned in the discussion thread (I didn't see this thread before ): Gender: Male Occupation: Prussian soldier/Imperial Germany's soldier Headgear: Spiked helmet/"Pickelhaube" with gold eagle print Facial Expression: Strict, maybe with big square eyeglasses, with belt for helmet Color: Blue Torso, black legs, white pants printed (or maybe just white legs without boots) Accessory: Cutlass, needle gun (or normal gun, if they don't want to make a new mold) I would love a Prussian soldier, and TLC has done other historic soldiers before, like vikings, knights, Spartans, red coats, blue coats, conquistadores, U.S. soldiers of the 19th century, the Nationalsocialists' Northern Africa Corps, feudal Japan's samurai and shogun and some more, I guess. I don't think there would be any ethical barriers to make a nice spiked helmet . Also a great idea: Gender: Male Occupation: Boxer (after a wrestler, a karate master and a sumo ) Facial Expression: Like someone who has just been punched hard and been punching even harder... Color: Very muscular body, red pants and white shoes. Accessory: Boxing gloves instead of hands Quote

dragunov Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 I think that there should be something to go into a completely differing sub theme from what we have seen do far, so here is my idea. Apoca survivor: Gender: Male. Headgear: Firefighter headpiece (minus air tanks.) Face: Rex (power miners) or the engineer face from PQ. Torso: surfer with bandolier added. Legs: Blue with belt with knife sheaf and pistol sheaf Accessories: Revolver and baseball bat. Quote

vexorian Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 (edited) Gender: Male Occupation/print on torso: Heel wrestler (bad guy rival for the original wrestler) I would go with black shirt thingies or maybe bare-chested. Type of headgear: Just give him messy hair. Type of facial expression: Angry/Imposing Color on torso/legs: black or yellow or both. Accessory: A champion's belt. I would suggest a metal chair but I guess that goes against TLG's do no evil standards... Would be cool if he used the longer legs from toy story's Woody. Edited December 7, 2010 by vexorian Quote

Haltiamieli Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Ghost Gender:Male Occupation/print on torso: Glow in the dark white - similar to ghosts from Kingdoms sets Type of headgear: None Type of facial expression: Spooky Color on torso/legs: Glow in the dark white Accessory: None? As an accessory the ghost could have a chain (http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=30104) and maybe a ball attached to the end of it? But I wouldn't protest either if they would opt to make a female ghost instead, many "grey ladys" are known from folk legends (and Harry Potter) around the world. I would like to see some more mythical creatures. The following have been probably mentioned somewhere in this topic, but maybe a little repeating doesn't hurt? Gender:Male Occupation: Minotauros Type of headgear: brown or dark bley bull's head similar to CMF3 Gorilla guy, maybe even with detachable cow horns? Type of facial expression: If there would have to be a normal head underneath, it could really be anything... Color on torso/legs: brown or dark bley muscular bare upper torso, printed loin cloth on the legs Accessory: an axe or a polearm Gender:Male Occupation: Centaur. I know there's already a Brickforge version in existence, but it wouldn't hurt to have an official centaur too. This would probably be too big or expensive for CMF series? Maybe if there's going to be still more Harry Potter sets... Type of headgear: a Spartan helmet or long hair (in this they could choose the cheaper option) Type of facial expression: grim or angry Color on torso/legs: bare or barely clad upper torso and of course a new mold of horse body without the head part but studs to attach the human torso Accessory: If we had this figure, I would be perfectly happy even without any accessories, but of course a spear or sword or bow would make it even more readily playable Quote
Aanchir Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Ghost Gender:Male Occupation/print on torso: Glow in the dark white - similar to ghosts from Kingdoms sets Type of headgear: None Type of facial expression: Spooky Color on torso/legs: Glow in the dark white Accessory: None? Ghosts from Kingdoms sets? Please explain-- I don't think there are any ghosts in Kingdoms sets. Minifig ghost sheets exist in two colors: 50 Phosphorescent White (mostly opaque; last used in 2005) and 294 Phosphorescent Green (transparent; the color that replaced 50 Phosphorescent White). I'm not sure what material either is made from, but being transparent the current glow-in-the-dark color, 294 Phosphorescent Green, probably could not be used for most minifig parts. This is because transparent parts are made from polycarbonate rather than ABS. As discussed here, polycarbonate has strong friction against other polycarbonate pieces. Since minifigure design depends on several hinged elements (arms, hands, legs, and even arguably the head), the added friction could be a serious problem. This would seem to be part of the reason no minifigure parts (besides minifigure heads) exist in transparent colors. Quote
SilentMode Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Gender: Male Occupation/print on torso: Classic paperboy Type of headgear: Tan or dark tan beret-style cap Type of facial expression: mouth open, yelling Color on torso/legs: Brown coat with scarf and pocket prints, dark green trousers (perhaps stubby legs) Accesory: newspaper Gender: neither Occupation/print on torso: Invisible Man / Ice man Type of headgear: perhaps a black cap Type of facial expression: plain smile Color on torso/legs: everything transparent! either clear or light blue.
