Hmm, Ki-adi-mundi,s head seems to have a special hair piece on top, these pictures show that it's not a regular cone at least

You can make a bigger fool of yourself with direct statements. I used my zoom, the pics are still fuzzy. I brought them up on my tv internet, to see them even larger, zoomed in, and nothing. The grey is probably just low quality photography.

I did notice something though I 'think' (keyword), that the t-visors are made less wide on these clones. They did this in the battle packs, and it makes the clones more accurate. It also makes them resemble the AOTC sets.

I agree, I honestly think they are too blurry as well, All I see is clonetrooper scribbly line nr#1(who seems to be an commander or ARC judging by the Kama) and clonetrooper scribbly line nr#2(who seems to be holding what reminds me of a jetpack, but that makes no sense at all so it probably isn't), nor do I honestly see any gray on any of them. As well as the fact that the minifigure line-up would make very little sense for it them to be wolfpack. Since I don't think they have never been pictured with any of these jedi on the show. Kudos to commanderneyo if he did get it right, but I guess it's better to wait for final pictures.

As for the shortened visors, I presume they'll keep doing that, wouldn't make sense to do it for one set. Besides it looks slightly better.

Five Words: TLG never cares about Accuracy

Thats my last Line on this Disscussion now lets please get back to discussing the sets and not debating whether I am right in believing the Commander is Wolffe

Just to add one more post to that discussion, I think you're right about wolffe

Same here. Are you zooming in on the pics or scans? The pics have low lighting, so it could appear grey when zoomed in, when in fact it's white.

As for the AT-AT, if anyone would bother to look at the model used in the movie, this is the most accurate AT-AT TLG has made so far. The AT-AT is supposed to have a hump, and the head is the best one they've made by far.

Not sure why you've posted this here (perhaps in one of the reviews?) but I would have to disagree with you on that statement. First, the head - in comparison to the studio model used in Empire, the head on the current rendition seems to me to have too steep of an angle on top - 2x3 wing plates just don't work here. In the older 4483 the same is achieved using 2x4 wings, which is closer to the look of the actual vehicle. There's also the issue of the guns - look around 6:57 in this clip and you can just barely see the AT-AT's side-mounted cannons, which are shorter than the chin-mounted cannons. On the 8129, they are even longer than the chin-mounted laser cannons, which of course is incorrect. In contrast, the older 4483 has shorter guns, which are closer to the correct length.

Look also at the leg joints of the AT-AT. You can see in the clip I linked to that the rear section is considerably larger, both in width and length, than the length of the leg joints. On the 8129, the joints are almost the same width as the back, and the length of the back only extends one or two studs past the rear leg joint, meaning that the entire back section is too small in relation to the legs. The 4483, in comparison, has a considerably larger back, as can be seen from this. Even though the leg joints are even larger on the 4483 they are still well within the breadth of the back. I'm sure there are other aspects that can be debated, but those two are among the most conspicuous.

I know these are still prelim, but... Ki Adi Mundi! Finally! default_cry_happy.gif The Geonosian speeder is a must have for me.

I also like how we're getting so many Jedi now. The Republic Frigate rounds it out with Quinlan Vos and Eeth Koth. I don't think there's any other Jedi from the films that still needs to be Lego-fied.

Agen Kolar? Stass Allie? Adi Gallia?

And from the Clone Wars, Foul Moudama (since they have a Talz mold now) or, to kill two birds with one stone, Roron Corobb. Both did play fairly significant roles, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were to make Neo-Clone Wars appearances.

Looking at the new pictures, I'm beginning to think that the nose on the Scimitar may in fact be too long, in comparison to the studio model; I'm hoping it's just the angle. Interesting to see they've used the rare 3x3 facets. I see a large grey shape in the back - I really hope it's not that printed TIE windscreen piece.

Nice to see they've included a full dome piece and and an improved cannon for the Nantex, which also appears to be larger and improved from the previous rendition. Still, the last one was pretty close to the right size, so I'm wondering whether this one won't be too big.

There appears to be a one-stud wide transparent black piece in the Dathomir speeder; anyone know what it is?

The mandibles appear to be bigger on the Falcon in comparison to the last one after all. Still, the slope of the boardlike structure in between them looks rather steep, which isn't all that great.

Is it just me or does the Commander on the Frigate possibly Read in the Minifigures list on the Box Art "Commander Wolffe" because it definitly starts with a "W" and ends with a "E" as far as I can see.

EDIT: I just looked up Reference Pictures on Wookiepedia and the Images of the Frigate has markings that Resembles the Wolfpack Troopers so I was right. One with two Blasters is Wolffe and the other Appears to be Comet who appeared in "R2 Come Home"

I think it's just you. I can't really see the "W" and the "E" that you're pointing out. But one thing that is clear is that the leftmost clone is definitely a commander, while the second is a normal clone. And I do see some bluish tinge on the arms, which might be an indication that they may be Wolfpack Troopers as you've mentioned. But we can't clearly put specific names on these clones (Wolffe/Comet) as of now, considering the blurriness of the pic and this is still a prelim afterall.

The former can just use the Eeth Koth mold, and the latter are essentially the same, so they'd only have to make one.

I don't think so. I see the quarter domes sandwiching a Slope Brick 18 4 x 2, which would make the cockpit bulb 8-wide. That's 2 studs too long for the TIE piece. Actually, the back part looks like more quarter domes, so they may have built it from multiple pieces. :sweet:

I don't see it- is it part of the Confidential stamp?

Qui-gons hair-piece is in the infiltrator! Yay! The probe droids are black heads with levers on them, which makes me :hmpf_bad: and  . Panaka looks fantastic! The infiltrator is inching closer to my list. I did notice a con though, padme didn't get a new torso. It's just the one from the republic cruisers pilot, but in the minigigures box it's a different one weird.

It's just a prelim pic, Lego grabs whatever is available for those. If we really do get a new Padme fig (still having my doubts) there would be a new torso design.

I agree, I'm pretty sure we'll get a new torso design for Padme (if ever we'll do get her), but sadly it will be the least extravagant of all of her attires - the blue servant outfit. And I don't think there's any doubt that Qui-Gon will have his signature hairpiece. Panaka looks promising too, his new headgear appears to be accurate in shape.

Okay so this is my question:

Now that we will have thousands of clones with printed colored legs, will we ever get regular, plain printed clone trooper legs? Doesn't that seem much simpler and cheaper then the ones with intricate designs on them?

I'm just thankful Padme reappeared in a saga set- I know TLG will pupilize her, but hopefully they'll stop short of CW-ification. Qui-Gon should have his hair; he wasn't wearing his hood in that scene. (actually, he went hoodless for the duration of the Tatooine scenes). Panaka would probably still look good with the old hat, but a new one could be good.

I am too, just getting Padme is already great news to me (and for all of us). I don't think TLG will CW-sify her, simply because that's clearly a PT set. Maybe her eyes will be somewhere in between Leia and Barriss.

Wow! Great new images! Ki-Adi looks amazing. I'm not sure where you guys can see Commander Wolff in the cruiser, but I have to admit his arms look gray and there's a blur around his visor/eye-hole thing (not sure what to call it) it's still too early to tell though. What's the 2nd clone holding? I can't tell. Maybe a jet-pack but that wouldn't make sense. A lot of the figures look better in the list than in the art. It's as if they are more updated in the list of figures they have different torsos and look clearer (or is that just me?)...

I don't see anything either. I call it anti-aliasing, but at this point it is too early to tell.

Is that a new, more accurate speeder in ewok attack, I can't tell, can someboby who has battle of endor tell me? I looks better. I'm surprised about the 'ewok attack' set being disliked. It's a big tree, chief chirpa, and a black ewok! Scout trooper ices the cake.

It looks to be the same as the ones in Battle of Endor and the RGS. (I have both) This appears to be the new standard design.

Oh, you're right. I wonder if that means we'll finally have brickbuilt thrusters for the thing.

Never mind - I think it's just a black dish piece attached to a white slope. It's near the bottom left corner of the Confidential stamp.

Seeing as stormtroopers got nice printed legs in 7264, it's a possibility. I just hope it won't become standard, or else Clone Wars sets will be even more expensive than they already are.

Indeed. Is it just me, or have LEGO's speeder bikes actually been getting larger each time?

Hopefully. But knowing TLG, we'll get a sticker on a curved part. :hmpf_bad:

They have been.

Did you intend to post this in the Gen. Questions Thread? :classic:

But considering this is still the first time we've had printed legs for clones, we still have to see the upcoming sets to verify if this will be the new trend in SW minifigs (for the clones at least). I assume the printed legs are just for the specialized clone variants (Bomb Squad, Horn Company), even the new ARF has the old unprinted legs, as I don't really see the point of giving the generic clones too much detail.

It looks to be the same as the ones in Battle of Endor and the RGS. (I have both) This appears to be the new standard design.

Judging from this preliminary pic, this new one is slightly different, using a 3x2 sloped piece rather than the 2x2 sloped piece used in the RGS and Battle of Endor speeders.

Eeth Koth is exactly the same as Kolar, or they would be in Lego form. And aren't those last two the same as well? Well, I suppose one of those still has to be done.

But enough of that, sorry for the off-topic chitchat.

Hmm, you're right. I have a lot of the 2 x 2 curved piece, though, so this could be useful.

Personally, I like the new sets a lot.

What I don't like is that Cody doesn't seem to come up with Anti-Blast Kama and Armor.

7965 looks pretty much like 4504, which means that the cockpit is too large compared to the overall size - which is, of course, because they want a cockpit for two minifigures and a set that can be afforded by a relatively small budget.

What do you mean, disliked? It's a great set with some useful parts, but the true highlight there are the minifigs.

The speederbike is meh as usual, it's just inaccurate.. Still too large, bulky, etc. - but the rest is great.

That's not Chief Chirpa, by the way. It's Logray.

As I'm going to make an Endor diorama, this set will be a great help for me, and thus I'll have to buy alot..
