AndyC Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 (edited) 8640 Polar Copter - Theme: Technic (Arctic Action) LDD4 LXF File Substitutions are mostly just changing pieces for the non-toothed connectors to their modern counterparts. And I had to get creative for the technic figure, his seat and his skis. And here's the B model too. LXF File Edited February 1, 2012 by AndyC Quote
Calabar Posted December 27, 2010 Author Posted December 27, 2010 @AndyC Great work with the technic fig! I like it very much. You could add it to the custom bricks post! @petero It seems you used the wrong female hair in set 7325. You should use brick 62696 instead than 59363. Quote

pacc Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 (edited) New: 7990 Cement Mixer - Theme: City (Transport) lxf-file: No missing or misprinted pieces. Errors: The red part fits behind the front but is illegally placed for LDD. The gear in 'conical wheel block 4x4' did not fit inside the 4x2 plate with holes (two other parts on top were rotated, not a problem in LDD which is stable anyway) The two blue tiles below the mixer did not fit, neither did the two blue rests at the back which were moved 1 stud. Either the mixer has boundary problems or there is a magic angle between 70.9 and 71 degrees that works. Edited December 31, 2010 by pacc Quote
Calabar Posted December 27, 2010 Author Posted December 27, 2010 Hi pacc, welcome in this topic. You should read the thread's rules written in the first page in order to write a "legal" post. You can look at other posts too. After a fast look, I can see the image is too big and the set's data are not clearly written and emphasized. Quote

legolijntje Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Hi There, new here, love legos, nuf said. I just made the 3182 City Airport in the LDD4, and I find it impossible to close the airplane door, any tips for achieving that? I also made the 7741 City Police Helicopter that I didn't saw in the index. I will update with pictures and links when I get back home. Hello, welcome to Eurobricks! If it's impossible to close the door, you can leave it open, but you have it to say in your post (the "error" list) Quote

laserman Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 (edited) Hi, I am proud to introduce the Lego Technic 8294 - Excavator Excavator 8294.lxf Here are some changes to the original building instruction: Es gibt einige Änderungen gegenüber der Original-Bauanleitung: Bauphase 16: 6er Stange muß 5 mm tief bis Anschlag in Winkelstein reingeschoben werden. In LDD nur 1 mm möglich Step 16: Cross axle 6 must be pushed completely into the angle beam (5 mm of depth). In LDD there is only 1 mm possible. +++ Bauphase 21: Weißer 3-fach Stein muß um 90° in der Mitte gedreht werden. Step 21: White technic lever 3M must be turned by 90 degrees in the middle. +++ Bauphase 34: 5er Stange muß durch äußeres Loch von Linear-Aktuator. Step 34: Cross axle 5 must pushed through linear-actuator. 8294 - Excavator.lxf Edited February 12, 2013 by Calabar Added again the lxf file as attachment Quote
Calabar Posted December 28, 2010 Author Posted December 28, 2010 @laserman Very good work, you're right to be proud of it! As you will notice soon, forum's attachment function is not adequate to post images. You can use an imge hosting service (suck as imageshack, for images only) or open an account on BrickShelf (for both images and lxf files). Quote
AndyC Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 (edited) 8680 - Arctic Rescue Base - Theme: Technic (Arctic Action) LXF File Usual modifications for old style technic joints and visual substitutes for the pneumatic pieces and figures. Had to use slightly smaller windows as the 1x4x5 ones aren't in LDD, though I'm not entirely happy with the visual result as it spoils the aesthetic somewhat. There also should be an 8L axle at the back of the gyrocopter joining the two sets of wheels (2x 2L were used instead). It doesn't fit but I'm not near to my bricks at the moment to check if this was an illegal technique or an odd bounding bug. When I get chance, I'll check and see. 8620 - Snow Scooter - Theme: Technic (Arctic Action) LXF File Mostly included for completeness as rather too many of the old parts are needed to do it justice since the newer versions aren't quite compatible enough. A few things I'd like to point out (so you get a chance to fix them before Calabar arrives ): 1) When you update a post, make sure to edit/update the original post - please don't make a second post like you've done now. 2) The pre-view images are a bit small. 3) About hosting: If you are going to share LXF-files too you need to setup a BrickShelf account - this way you can post both your pics and lxf-files on the same place. 4) I would appreciate if you capitalize sentences. It may seems like a minor thing, but this is and AFOL site, so we do expect at least that level. 5) Good that you added an error-list. But please avoid putting in more minifigs then are in the actual set. Please edit your post with these changes. (PS: I'll remove your first post, just to keep the topic clean ). Quote
petero Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 7326 Rise of the Sphinx - Theme: Pharaoh's Quest This is an LDD 4 model. 7326 Rise of the Sphinx The only substitution I remember making is the Khepesh swords. These were substituted with 30173 Ninja swords. There are no patterns or stickers, as always. Peter Quote

And sorry about capitalizing, my native language is not english, and I'm not that good at it yet. OK, no problem. And perhaps I forgot to say: Welcome to the LDD Forum!¨ (PS: English is not my native language either, but capitalizing sentences is language independant (I think at least)) Quote
Toa_Of_Justice Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 1100 - Sky Pirates - Theme: Town (^Click for larger picture, suitable for a desktop wallpaper, perhaps?^) LXF File Inaccuracies: Torso and face patterns (I used substitutes instead) 3x4 wedge plates (they shouldn't have stud notches in them, but that's all I could find in LDD at the moment) I used some clever scaffolding to put the suitcase and gems into their proper compartments. -Toa Of Justice Quote
