Clone OPatra Posted February 16, 2011 Author Posted February 16, 2011 Well, I've just made a big ol' batch of nine new comics, trying out a new color backdrop. I think I might make it standard for myself to use blue on "films" comics (PT/OT) and yellow on CW comics. Although one of my batch is a crossover. Anyway, here's one that I've had in my head for a while now… Anakin Dropped Quote
Brickdoctor Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Heh. Nice job, Cloney. The blue does look very nice. Quote
Fives Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Hey, nice job everyone. Some great funnies. I have been wanting to put some of my pics up here, and I now have a Brickshelf account, but I don't know how to get pics from my iPhoto onto Brickshelf. Can anybody help me out? Also, how do I put text onto my pics? Quote

(provided you know where you stashed the Exported file) To put words on pics, you can use an online editor like Picnik or download a program like GIMP or Paint.NET. Either that or just put the caption below when you post the photo. Quote

Fives Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 (edited) I know I shouldn't double post, but here is my first one: Jedi Knights Edited February 16, 2011 by Fives Quote
Clone OPatra Posted February 16, 2011 Author Posted February 16, 2011 Aaahh! It's huge! I like it, but you have to resize it! 800x600 is the maximum allowed. Since you're using BS, you have to resize it in iPhoto, or even easier, just using Preview (which, since you have iPhoto, you must have Preview as well). Resizing is easy. Open the pic in Preview, go to Tools>Adjust Size… Then reupload to BS. Quote
BrickArtist Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Ahh Thats the biggest unresized photo I've seen yet! My computer would be exploding if I hadn't zapped over to the 'reply' button. Edit that photo out of your post, and resize it then re-upload it. Quote

Clone OPatra Posted February 16, 2011 Author Posted February 16, 2011 Ok, sorry about that. I was able to resize it in preview, but how to I save it into my iPhoto and then reupload it into BS? You don't have to put it back into your iPhoto. If you resized it in Preview, that means it's out of your iPhoto and you can just upload it directly to BS. But in the meantime, do take out the huge photo from your post. Quote

For sure, I'm working on it right now. Sorry about this everyone! EDIT: Never mind, I just refreshed the page and it worked. EDIT: Ok, I'm trying to add more pics from BS, but the stupid thing says that I cannot use that image extension? What is going on? Edited February 16, 2011 by Fives Quote

When your looking through your gallery click the image again so its a blank page with just the image on it, then use that URL, not the gallery one. Edited February 17, 2011 by brickartist Quote

Thank you! Here they are: "You know what, you should just stick with the classic hair." "Um, Master? Why are you so short?" "General Grievous... You're shorter than I expected." Jedd the Jedi Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Nice work as usual everybody. Fives, I do like your stuff especially for firsts - the Jedi Knight one works very well. LuxorV, I share Vader's bewilderment and shock at these booted skeleton figures. And KielDaMan, congrats on your first funny - it looks good, but I'm not sure I get the joke. Ah, apologies for my denseness (or is it density?) That Home One set has turned out to be very useful material for the funnies, I'm glad I got at a discount as I didn't plan to buy it at first. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted February 17, 2011 Author Posted February 17, 2011 And KielDaMan, congrats on your first funny - it looks good, but I'm not sure I get the joke. I believe it has something to do with the sleepy-but-awake look of Tiin's face, thus the connection to coffee and caffeine. Fundraiser Quote
Fives Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Clone O'Patra, that last one is hilarious! Great work! Quote

Fives Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Here are a few more I have ready: Anakin: Where did you get that? Luke: It was yours. Anakin: !?! "I thought the Clone Wars were over." Vader: Boba, why are you so suddenly taller than me? Boba: Its how they designed me. Quote

The Legonater Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Sorry for the dealy, for some odd reason Eurobricks has been down on my comp for the past few days. Quote

I like to think that Mon Mothma basically sent wave after wave of gungans as a 'distraction' to get the plans. Fun fact: When i first watched RotJ. I thought a single guy called Manny Bothan had got them, but died afterwards. Quote

Fives Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Here is one more: Eventually George Lucas ran out of ideas for the Special Edition. Quote
