Posted December 12, 200618 yr Just spotted this classic yellow-style castle on Brickshelf. I really like the round design. It also has a nice touch of the red and white flags that blend in nicely with the classic crusader fig. Whole Gallery: Hilltop Tower
December 12, 200618 yr That is really taking the yellow castle up a notch. And the non-classic faces are a brilliant addition. Nice find! God Bless, Nathan
December 12, 200618 yr i thought about posting this yesterday, because, it just gives me such a positive vibe; sure, yellow walls are not really prefered by castle builders, but this one really reminds me of the good old days.
December 12, 200618 yr This is areally a brilliant little MOC here. I love the sloping path, I love the construction of the tower, and the yellow actually doesn't look out of place! Great find
December 12, 200618 yr I love the design!! The colour doesn't bother me i't's a nice moc! Great find!
December 12, 200618 yr Eurobricks Emperor Great find! Those classic crusader figs are so beautiful *wub*
December 12, 200618 yr Just a quick note to say this was by cc member DARKspawn, his post can be seen here: over on cc... God Bless, Nathan
December 13, 200618 yr Hi, Everyone :) Thanks heaps for the kind words regarding my Tower! Although I prefer to work with grey I did this in yellow to honour the original castle theme. Thanks again :D

Welcome to Eurobricks DS. The yellow castle was my 1st Lego castle, so I like the classic yellow. You design a great MOC. Nice to see you join EB.

This fellow named 'Infyrana' made it. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=121455 Mister Phes said: How does one build walls at 45 degree angles? 45 degrees vertical or 45 degrees horizontal?
December 13, 200618 yr Governor Horizontally like the Hilltop Tower. I notice its got 8 sides... I'm wondering how that's achieved...

December 13, 200618 yr One can use hinge bricks like these to make the octagonal shape and then it can be attached on a combination of SNOT tile and studed plate or brick. 7019 Viking Fortress uses this hinge technique (hinges are in black) for each large wall which all connect with these red peices. Thus, it has a very nice looking and original octagonal layout. Way to go TLC!
December 14, 200618 yr Very nice MoC. I really like the figs. Happy little visors :) On another note, the octagonal design was also used in Sentai Fortress.
December 14, 200618 yr Ohh nooo the castle is being attacked by a giant kid!!! Abandon castle!(or is this only said on ships?) BTW, I think this castle deserves his own thread...
December 14, 200618 yr lol great pic, Mr Tiber! That is why I have a toddler gate on the doorway of my LEGO room :-D Thanks for the warm welcome guys :-) The shape of my tower was indeed done with the very same brick hinge, the shape was braced with the old 45 degree wing plates PS I LOVE your smilies on this board ;-)
