WesternOutlaw Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Just found this on Maj.com. It's a little Christmas town/city with new Christmas Train in motion. Thought I would share. Quote
Athos Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Very nice. I'm quite surprised there aren't more of these. Someday I'm going to try my hand at something similar. Steve Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted December 19, 2006 Author Posted December 19, 2006 Notice the white baseplates for snow. I have not seen this before. Quote
Hobbes Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Lovely scenery! Notice the white baseplates for snow. I have not seen this before. I think those are bricks... Quote
Khorne Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Looks really cute, altough the yellow building in the background is kind of stupid :-/ . Quote
bdd Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 No, they look like white baseplates to be, they have made white ones before. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted December 19, 2006 Author Posted December 19, 2006 They look like baseplates. The Lego Education Company (Pitsco) use to sell them (I think). Lego should make a white or snow covered tree as well. Quote
skinkfem Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 the iceplanet 2002 ice station odyssey 6983-1 included a white baseplate so they have existed. if anyone knows of more sets feel free to post images or refs here Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted December 19, 2006 Author Posted December 19, 2006 I didn't even realize they were used in sets. Thanks for sharing. Quote
Hobbes Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 I know white baseplates exist(ed), in this picture they still look like bricks to me ;-) Quote
Robiwan Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 The town looks nice. Is this the only picture of this? I know white baseplates exist(ed), in this picture they still look like bricks to me ;-) Look here at the firestation in the middle. :-) Quote
Hobbes Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Look here at the firestation in the middle. :-) Yes, I know that white baseplates exist. In the christmas town it just looks like bricks to me ;-) Quote
Jipay Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 As an adventurer fan, I'm amazed by the fact you don't own at least one white half baseplate Brickster... :-) Quote
alex54 Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 And we find some white baseplate in the arctic exploration theme too, (ref 6575)! Nice find. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted December 21, 2006 Author Posted December 21, 2006 As an adventurer fan, I'm amazed by the fact you don't own at least one white half baseplate Brickster... :-) Yes, in fact I do. The Temple of Mount Everest (7417). I completely forgot. This is a great set too. Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted December 21, 2006 Eurobricks Emperor Posted December 21, 2006 Lego should make a white or snow covered tree as well. There is a tree in the Snow Queen set that's (partialy) covered with snow. However, with an airbrush and some white paint it should be easy to make some white trees. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted December 23, 2006 Author Posted December 23, 2006 It's messy though. I like the tree pictured. Quote
