IenjoyLego89 Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Some outposts in Graystar were upgraded during the winter months. More permanent stone towers were built, especially around the city of Volhaal, the captial of Graystar. These particular towers were built on top of old dwarven tunnels from ages past to make them more secure. Tower of Volhaal Storage and Access Tunnel Finally after a long wait for a bricklink order I got my phase 2 built All C&C welcome, and can I move on to phase 3? Quote
IenjoyLego89 Posted September 26, 2014 Author Posted September 26, 2014 Great tower. Thanks Vitreolum :) Quote

Manx Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Another great tower. It's nice to see some interior too. Looking forward for phase 3! Quote
IenjoyLego89 Posted September 26, 2014 Author Posted September 26, 2014 Very nice tower but where's Leon?! Thanks Behemoth :) ha Leon is currently occupied hunting tracking some orcs, he should make an appearance once I find the time :) Another great tower. It's nice to see some interior too. Looking forward for phase 3! Thanks Manx :) I'm currently building phase 3, have to place another order so might be a while :/ Quote

SarahJoy Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Nice! I like the way your towers are progressing as a cohesive series, and I'm looking forward to seeing the next one! Quote

MassEditor Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Great build and quality photography! The vegetation and tree are great touch and I like the way the rockwork abuts the tower. The ledge around the mid section of the tower is a cool technique too! Quote
LordDan Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Great tower. That wooden section looks especially nice atop the stone part, and the base fits well too :) Quote
-Carson Haupt- Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Great! I like the way it isn't huge without feeling puny. Quote
mccoyed Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Awesome. An extension of Phase 1's same base right? I really like these towers. I do have to ask about Volhaal, though. Valholl. Volhaal. CONFUSION. Quote

Cheers Carson Haupt :) Very nice tower Thanks Scaevola :) Awesome. An extension of Phase 1's same base right? I really like these towers. I do have to ask about Volhaal, though. Valholl. Volhaal. CONFUSION. Thanks mccoyed :) yeh it's the same base I wanted to show an evolution in the design and I wanted to see how much I can fit in a 16x16 :) I came up with Vohaal a week or two ago for the capital of Graystar and only found out the last few days that the capital of Mitgardia is Vaholl, just a coincidence, if it's to conflicting with everyone I can change it? :) Quote

CONFUSION. I had the same reaction to Omurtag and Amortug. Very nice Phase II! I'd love to see the other side (is it a wooden fence/wall adjoining a path/steps up to the tower?). I gotta remember to post my Phase II tower this weekend (finished it & shot it about a month ago) and get to work on the next one! Quote

Thanks Venkefedo :) I took it apart to build phase III, but it was all fenced off, access was from the tunnel below :) I might have a pic of it somewhere. A month! That's a long time to keep us waiting ;) Quote
mccoyed Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 I don't think you should change it, lenjoy. It's really common in the real world for cultures to produce similar-sounding place names. There being a city called Valholl and a city called Volhaal sort of makes sense. Now I know you weren't meaning Valholl and just misspelling it though! Quote
