Dzoni90 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Here's my entry for Category C. It represents the moment in the first Hobbit movie when Gandalf splits the rocks to let the sunshine turn Trolls into stone. Here we have a small fragment of that scene: a Troll turned into stone, Bilbo, Gloin and one of their ponies. On my Flickr you can see the pics of Troll alone: https://www.flickr.c...05/15304254619/ Quote
LordDan Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Neat build! That troll looks nice, as does that SNOT rockwork :) Quote
IenjoyLego89 Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Looks good, I like the split in the rocks :) Quote
Dzoni90 Posted October 11, 2014 Author Posted October 11, 2014 (edited) Thank you all. I really enjoyed building this, especially the troll and SNOT rockwork. Edit: I had more ideas for this scene, but it couldn't fit in 16x16 Edited October 11, 2014 by Dzoni90 Quote
Macsen Wledig Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Nice little scene - love the look of the troll! Quote
Dzoni90 Posted October 13, 2014 Author Posted October 13, 2014 (edited) Nice little scene - love the look of the troll! Thank you! Here is a photo of a troll alone and it is not for the contest, just for a better look on him. Stone Troll by Džoni90, on Flickr Edited October 19, 2014 by Dzoni90 Quote
Brotherhood Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Awesome little scene! I love the split rock and the SNOT rock work. The stone giant is also very well built. Quote
Disco86 Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 You have packed some neat details in this one. I really like that you choose to brickbuilt your own horse and your own troll. I am just missing Gandalf in that one, looks like you don't have one ? Quote
Sir Gareth Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Great little build, Dzoni90! I really like that you decided to include a brickbuilt troll and horse, instead of the molded ones. The rest of the moc is very nice, though I feel it could use Gandalf on top of the rocks. Quote
Dzoni90 Posted October 26, 2014 Author Posted October 26, 2014 (edited) Thank you all! Yes, you are right, I don't have Gandalf and because of that, I decided to build a scene a few moments after Gandalf splits the rock, not that moment exactly. I made a brickbuilt pony because lego horses are too big. Edited October 26, 2014 by Dzoni90 Quote
