Darking Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 (Imgur gallery for more images and better quality: http://imgur.com/a/4Yi09#0) This is my first entry for the BFTGM contest: Scox. I... don't really have any backstory for this little fella. Maybe some kind of insectoid creature, mutated by protodermis, that now guards the entrance to the sacred "Temple of Doom, Pain and Other Sufferings"™. That or he (she? it?) just thinks Matoran are quite tasty. Oh, and yeah, all the parts used exist in those colours, so I think it qualifies as a velid entry. I also plan on entering two more entries: one made using actual pieces, and another one in LDD. I uploaded this one first just because I thinks it's better than my other digital one, and because I'm still waiting for some sets that I ordered to came by mail. I'll upload them as soon as I can. Meanwhile, thanks for giving lil' Scox a look C: Quote
Leewan Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Interesting, I like the Corroder elbows. :p Good luck ! Quote
Zenerius Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 (edited) The gold and green fit together very nicely; the insect aeshetic is well done. Hmm... I wonder what the Temple of Doom, Pain, and Other SufferingsTM would be like... Edited October 22, 2014 by Zenerius Quote
END films Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 I like the way you did three fingered claws. Quote
Logan McOwen Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 This is brilliant. So very detailed! Quote
Crabster Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 (edited) It's very cool. Good colors. Very nice work. Edited October 23, 2014 by Crabster Quote
-Zond- Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 (edited) Very nice!) So creepy... I like creepy things! And I would like too see it made from original parts, no LDD) But it is only my wish) Edited October 24, 2014 by -Zond- Quote
Darking Posted October 24, 2014 Author Posted October 24, 2014 Thanks everyone for the kind comments! :D Sadly, I just discovered a pretty big flaw I left unsolved with the current model, as the socket pieces that join the upper and lower parts of the body are conected by an axle to a circular hole, not a cross one! However, I have already fixed this pretty easily by just adding a few more pieces, so the only thing left is for the new renders to finish and I will use them to substitute the current one, if that doesn't go against the rules. TheRedGuy Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Wow, nice work! This is probably my favorite entry so far. Quote
Hunter1 Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 I simply love this MOC! It's one of the best BFTGM entries I've ever seen (and I've seen quite many of them ). This is simple, but has a lot of details; it's creative and originall (I prefer this than all these humanoid MOCs). I wish, it will win the contest. -H.unter Quote
