Alfadas Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Caswallon: Why are we here and not in your house? It is much nicer there. Iddawg: There are spies there. I let my guards search this abandoned warehouse, and it is clean. Caswallon: Fair enough, spill your plans. You know I don't have much time as I need to prepare my soldiers. And that will take a while. Iddawg: Look, we need to move now. I made the plans, we go over the mountains to the filthy elves. Understood? Caswallon: Fine, have it your way. But my men aren't ready yet, give me another week. Iddawg: 4 days is all you get. Then, a young female warrior storms in. Arlenni: Sir, I know you didn't want to be interrupted, but we got a message from the elves. They send us this dagger. Iddawg: Thanks for the message, you can go now. He waits till Arlenni left the room. Iddawg: This message shows us we need to move fast. Go now, and come back in 4 days, otherwise I am gone, and you are left behind. No killing Elves, gathering honour and treasure for you. Go now, I will wait impatiently. Little do the dwarves know, the warehouse isn't clean at all. In the corner, behind some barrels, a spy is listening and quickly sneaks away. This is my Cat. A entry, hope you like it, C&C welcome! Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 (edited) I like how you've hidden the spy! I didn't spot him to start with! Edited November 2, 2014 by Lord Vladivus Quote
Hammerhand Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Cool! I'm with Vlad, I would never have even known there was anyone behind the barrels! Nice job. Quote
Slegengr Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Nice build, Alfadas! I also like how well-hid the spy is. I never knew before that barrels interlinked in that fashion. The color variation on the floor is simple but nice. Quote
Alfadas Posted November 3, 2014 Author Posted November 3, 2014 Thanks! Yeah, my spies are good at hiding. I just started to mess around with those barrels, and they stood well, bit wobly. That's why it rests against the wall. But yeah, they interlock with eachother quit nice. Quote
Jorrith Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Nice build! I like how you managed to set the story on such little surface! Quote
Garmadon Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Nice entry, great interlocking technique and idea with the spy behind the barrels For improvement I would suggest tiling the table and border if possible and using cheese slopes on the sloped wall to hid all the exposed studs. Keep up the good work Alfadas Quote
Alfadas Posted November 4, 2014 Author Posted November 4, 2014 Thank you! Will definitely try that soon! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Sweet dwarf figs! And good posing too (which isn't easy with dwarves) That stack of barrels makes for a good hiding place Quote
de Gothia Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Sweet little moc! I like the hideout! Some tips how to improve the moc Better light in the photos Try not to cut of parts of the moc in every pic. When you have an overall pic you always cut off corners.. Is the border around the moc really necessary? Right now we don´t see the legs of the minifigs. Either remove it or place some more plates under the floor to lift that up from the high border.. Take it as friendly advices! Quote

And thanks for the rest of the tips! Next one, I will show the floor and the entire fig! Quote
