GmaBlu Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 I made a bunk house for Santa's Elves to coordinate with Santa's workshop. Since I am leaving to see my grandchildren tomorrow I can't wait for my impending bricklink to furnish the kitchen and put a ping pong table on the first floor. Originally I wanted the bunks to be greens on the left and reds on the right, but since the tiles didn't arrive the Elves' beds are more individual. Each elf represents one of my grandchildren. Quote
WarSquirrel Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Wow! Great job! Did you make the snow landscape in the background too? Quote
GmaBlu Posted December 19, 2014 Author Posted December 19, 2014 Yes. I always had my Holiday Train on the floor around the tree before. I used a new sheet of 4x8 styrofoam insulation every year. This May we got a puppy who eats Lego so I elevated to a table this year and then went a little crazy with the ski hill. It is my first landscape and I started more than I could finish well. Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Now that's a cute bunk house......Brick On 'GmaBlu' ! Quote
bitbang Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 That is adorable! I remember seeing tiny christmas themed towns all over the place, this takes the cake! I myself, am not creative enough to think this up! The lights are a nice touch. Quote
TheLazyChicken Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Wow, thats a great creation! But that snow cave... Quote
Rick Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 IS this an entry for the Expand the Winter Village contest? Quote
GmaBlu Posted December 20, 2014 Author Posted December 20, 2014 Yes, Rick, It is supposed to be an entry. Did I put it in the wrong place? I'm new at this. Quote
Rick Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Yes, Rick, It is supposed to be an entry. Did I put it in the wrong place? I'm new at this. It's posted in the right place, but we require the title of the thread to start with "Winter Village". I've fixed that for you. As an aside: you've uploaded the pictures directly to Eurobricks. While we allow users a tiny bit of upload space (primarily for their avatars), we're not an image hosting site. See the links in my signature for more information on how to post pictures to EB (or this tutorial for how to embed pictures from flickr). Quote
Withacee Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 Nice idea, and a beautiful build! Love the entrance. Good luck, and keep clicking those bricks together! Quote
