Module City Contest

DEADLINE EXTENDED TO AUGUST 5th

So here's how it works. You have to build a modle from the city(buildings, cars, etc.) But it must be Modular.

So a car that can be rearranged in different ways is modular. The voting process goes like this. A seperate topic will be made, with a list of all of the contestents names and creations, with a number next to it. Each voter will simply put the number of the contestant that they are voting for. At the deadline I will count up the posts.  The Deadline is july 31st. If anybody could pin this topic then that would be great.

Guess what..

I sat down with my bricks today and thought I'd give modular houses a try.. And I ended up building a firehouse! *wub*

I am really happy with the building so far, it currently has a completed ground floor with one MF door and one garage door for an engine, and a 1st floor for the firefighters to sleep, drink, eat, blablabla, etc (which is a WIP atm.) and finally a neat little roof (currently in my head :-P ) to put on the top. (no duh)

The floors and roof can be separated from eachother and measures 20 x 16 studs. *sweet*

The ground floor measures 9 bricks, 1 plate tall, and the first floor 7 bricks, 1 plate. :-)

It's built on a 16 x 32 light grey baseplate and a 32 x 32 straight, light grey roadplate, with a rusty basketball field to the right. ;-)

Hmm, interesting contest. When I read the suggestion about creating a modular vehicle, I thought this was a challenge I couldn't resist! It was tricky since I knew I had to finish before Friday as I'm off to Canada on vacation, but after a couple of evenings work I have come up with the PaulC Modular Vehicular System (Patent Pending).

Part 1 (of 3): How far can you stretch your pickup?

The Modular Firehouse

(Gee, I really need to invent some good names soon..)

I wasn't really planning to enter, but I did it anyways. I've never built something this big before (even though it's the size of an outhouse for you big boys) and it's my very first try at modular buildings. The details aren't amazing nor anything new, but here I go *sweet* :

Here it is! In all it's.. Noobyness.. :-P Note that it is the red firehouse on the left I'm entering, not the half-built shack on the right.. ;-)

Modular concept is a very good one. I like the way that you can change things really easilly.

PaulC, your modul'cars are really cool!

And UB, your firestation is nice too!

Even if I like the concept, I don't buy modular things, because there are some constraints on the design, and it needs more pieces...

So I will not enter this poll, but I will look at it with a big interest
