Mike S Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 (edited) Action report: After learning of the Mountain Mummies weakness from the Barqan soldiers, General Leovetus devised a new strategy. He instructed his men that should they encounter any mummies of the Desert King, they should chase them to the river and corner them there as it seemed that mummies were fearful of getting wet. It was not long until one of the Leander bands came upon one of the Desert King's scouts and cornered him at a small bluff along the river. Decided to try a bit different technique to add variety to the palms: Edited March 6, 2015 by Mike S Quote
Maxim I Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Sweet!! Bad thing I had exact the same in my mind :p I thought the Leander were fighting against Ulandus? "Approved" Quote
Garmadon Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Excellent build, MS, very nice fig posing and palm trees! Great job on the rest of the landscape as well, towards the builds approval. Quote
Gideon Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Excellent that we are discovering a weakness of our foe! Ooc: nice river bank and palm trees! Quote
Mike S Posted March 5, 2015 Author Posted March 5, 2015 Thanks guys! I thought the Leander were fighting against Ulandus? The Leander for the most part support the High Council. I figured Ulandus presence in this area would not be as heavy as the Desert King, so I used Desert King mummies for the enemy here. Quote
LittleJohn Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Excellent little build! I really like the palm trees, and the SNOT base looks great! Quote
Basiliscus Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Lovely work Mike S. You already have two upvotes, but I'll add mine anyway: Those Leander troops are wicked! Nice use of dark tan and brown on the river bank. The tree is a clever design although it does look a bit sparse. Quote
MassEditor Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Nice build, the bank looks good and that tree design is really interesting. Good entry! Quote
Bregir Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 We are many who are proud to be fighting alongside the valiant Leander warriors! Great build, and nice posing - one almost feels bad for that mummy... Quote
Kai NRG Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 And the high council is on a roll... A nice build from you MS, especially those trees! I do think you could do slightly better on the bank but I understand that since there's not a whole lot of time here! Quote
LordDan Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Nice build! Hmmm, it seems the performance of our mummy troops leaves much to be desired. Quote
mccoyed Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 I love this pseudo-Roman look for the Leander that GoH has developed.Great build and good idea with the mummies+water. That said, I think those trees could use some more tinkering. Quote
Mike S Posted March 5, 2015 Author Posted March 5, 2015 Thanks everyone for the comments! The tree is a clever design although it does look a bit sparse. That said, I think those trees could use some more tinkering. I was trying to get a sparse looking tree look similar to this. But as it does not seem to be as popular as my fuller palms, I will continue using my older style. And the high council is on a roll... A nice build from you MS, especially those trees! I do think you could do slightly better on the bank but I understand that since there's not a whole lot of time here! Not sure if time would have made much of a difference as my dark tan inventory is extremely limited. Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 (edited) Nice build! Shame to see the Desert King being beaten back. Just you wait! Edited March 6, 2015 by Lord Vladivus Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Very charming build - others have already rightfully praised the palm trees. Quote
