Kai NRG Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Now that Ageven is an apprentice, he's been temporarily given his own little squad! Anxious to impress, he's decided to take on Ras-el-akhen! Ready! Aim! Fire! Overview of just the crossbow. Actually works! As this is a two pointer, Garmadon will be helping out with a build that actually can go along with this one. Comments are welcome! For purposes of response, I'd say this should be taken as a 20x16, if the respondent wishes to include a base. Quote
Gideon Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Unexpected build for sure Nice with the video as well. Not sure however what to think of this in terms of the wargame...if a builder spreads out elements of the build on more than 32x32 like here, I think the counter must be allowed to include as much base as the periphery of this build? LittleJohn Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 That's a BIG crossbow! I really like that it shoots fire Quote
Jakorin Swiftsword Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Now that's a weapon! Great job on the design and functions! Quote

Thanks! IMHO ideally the counter would also spread various elements around. If that's not possible, then I don't think the builder should be allowed a full blown 48x32, but I suppose it's up to Ska. Captain Braunsfeld Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Impressive crossbow! (not overdone? ) Quote
MassEditor Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 A ferocious looking ballista! The design is excellent and quite realistic. Certainly not something I'd want to be on the wrong side of! Quote
Jacob Nion Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Davinci isn't it? If it's legal for Guerilla it's a great idea and hard to counter. Quote
Kai NRG Posted March 13, 2015 Author Posted March 13, 2015 Thanks everyone! Impressive crossbow! (not overdone? ) Not in the slightest! Ras-el-akhen has thick walls. Thanks! Davinci isn't it? If it's legal for Guerilla it's a great idea and hard to counter. It started out that way but ended up as a Tree-bucket. Can't see why it wouldn't be legal but we'll try to get Ska over here to give his final opinion. Thanks! Quote
Garmadon Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Excellent tre-bucket Kai, awesome work making it look realistic (besides the fact that it actually works )! Quote
Maxim I Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 Excellent big a$$ crossbow!!! I love your execution and the fact it really works! However, I am not sure if it really fits the Guerilla as I thought we agreed that cities can't be hit by Guerilla Attacks (therefor there are Warzones for cities). Quote
soccerkid6 Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 Great use of elephant tail thingies Lots of neat wooden detailing as well. Is it rubber band powered? Quote

If that's not possible, then I don't think the builder should be allowed a full blown 48x32, but I suppose it's up to Ska. I think we would say that this would be a special circumstance, where the build should be just a bit bigger than the main part of the GA build (The Crossbow) Davinci isn't it? If it's legal for Guerilla it's a great idea and hard to counter. Thanks everyone! It started out that way but ended up as a Tree-bucket. Can't see why it wouldn't be legal but we'll try to get Ska over here to give his final opinion. Thanks! I think that in the manner that it was used, that this may not qualify for a GA. I am referring to Garm's attack. This puts us in a sticky situation, I don't want to disqualify anything, but I think the siege engine and the accompanying MOC were used directly against enemy forces, which is against the qualifications for a Guerrilla build. My idea is that perhaps we let the two MOCs be reentered into another warzone, or reused in a different way in a GA. I am open for debate for and against the MOC being accepted as a GA build. However, I am not sure if it really fits the Guerilla as I thought we agreed that cities can't be hit by Guerilla Attacks (therefor there are Warzones for cities). This was not agreed upon, I think I mentioned that that was the only way to purely eliminate the more important spots for GAs. I also said that that may take some fun out of the game. Quote
Robin Creations Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Great job with this! I like how the rocks look next to it By the way: It started out that way but ended up as a Tree-bucket. I laughed so hard at this. Stupid autocorrect! Quote
Kai NRG Posted March 16, 2015 Author Posted March 16, 2015 Thanks guys for the comments! Great use of elephant tail thingies Lots of neat wooden detailing as well. Is it rubber band powered? It's not a rubber band but the string is slightly elastic so it's the same concept. Thanks! I agree with your suggestion as to counter size, replied to the other part in the explanatory thread. Great job with this! I like how the rocks look next to it By the way: I laughed so hard at this. Stupid autocorrect! Tree-bucket is actually the name of the category. But it does look like autocorrect, Thanks! Quote
