Yzalirk Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 (edited) This counter guerrilla is in response to LordDan's Recruiting Allies guerrilla. The Dwarves who fight for Ulandus have recently learned about the traitorous act the Southern Dwarves have enacted to, which was accepting the bribe to fight in the name of the Desert King. This action has not went unnoticed and will be dealt with by Diplomacy, of course. Hurting their kin would be a very last resort, if it came down to it. In the Ambassador's quarters in the City of Sands End, a Ulandus Dwarf Diplomat and his protector have an unscheduled meeting with the Ambassador of the Southern Dwarves. The meeting is unexpected, but can the Ulandus Dwarves us the power of speech to win? [edit: please rezise your pics like so, kabel] Southern Dwarf Ambassador: "Who are you? GUARDS, SEIZE THEM!" Ulandus Dwarf Ambassador: "Wait, please give me a minute of your time! I am an Ambassador for Ulandus. I represent our kin, and only our kin." Southern Dwarf Ambassador: "And I suppose you're here to try to forge an alliance with us? Well, you're too late. Now guards, escort these men out immediately!" Ulandus Dwarf Ambassador: "Now, hold on a second. Open up the chest." Ulandus Dwarf Soldier: "Aye, sir!" He lifts up the lid of the chest, which reveals the key to just about anyone's heart nowadays. Untitled by The Goliath, on Flickr Inside are a few emeralds, the most prized gem of all Ulandian Dwarves and lots of gold. Ulandus Dwarf Ambassador: "Please, accept this offering. There is plenty of more riches if you pledge your alliance to Ulandus and us, your kin." Southern Dwarf Ambassador: "And if I refuse?" Ulandus Dwarf Ambassador: "The Desert King will have you all enslaved and forced to mine precious materials after this war, to help repay him for his debt the war gave him. Each and every Dwarf in Historica. You will also be a traitor to your kin if you refuse this offer. Under the First Centurion, he's guaranteed peace and equality to our kin and riches for those who helped him win the war." Untitled by The Goliath, on Flickr Southern Dwarf Ambassador: "Bring the chest over here and leave. I will call for you both after I've reached a decision." Untitled by The Goliath, on Flickr Both Guards who work for the Dwarf Ambassador of the City of Sands End both left the room, leaving him seemingly vulnerable to an attack wish the Ulandians Dwarves wished to. No, they want something far more important to both Ulandus and their kin - their allegiance. Southern Dwarf Ambassador: "I've already accepted the gold and gems from the Desert King's ambassador so I must fight for them." Ulandus Dwarf Ambassador: "That is not true, just because you are paid to fight for someone doesn't mean you have to sell-out to them. Do what's right, keep the gold and fight for us instead. The gold and gems you've received from the Desert King will help us towards our cause." Southern Dwarf Ambassador: "You're right. You did say that the Desert King wishes to enslave us after the war, right?" Ulandus Dwarf Ambassador: "Correct. Our captives say that they will enslave us all if they win. We will not let that happen. We need all of our kin." Southern Dwarf Ambassador: "Alright, I think it's quite clear at this point. Us Dwarves of the South will fight in the name of the First Centurion. All our men will fight along side of your men. Our treasury is your treasury." Ulandus Dwarf Ambassador: "That is a very wise decision. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. But, there is one catch." Southern Dwarf Ambassador: "And that would be?" Ulandus Dwarf Ambassador: "You all will be integrated into the 13th Legion that is only comprised of our kin. You will represent the First Centurion by wearing dark green. We will join together as one strong legion." Southern Dwarf Ambassador: "That is certainly one catch! I will gladly accept that offer and I will inform our generals by the end of the day. when I do so, I will write you a letter and will begin to send men your way. Do not disappoint, we are putting our lives in the hands of Ulandus. Fight hard, and fight well." Ulandus Dwarf Ambassador: "You will not be disappointed, I promise you that. You have done a great deed today, especially for our kin. Take care." Southern Dwarf Ambassador: "Tread lightly." Untitled by The Goliath, on Flickr The two Dwarves of Ulandus leave the room, chins up and are glad to have the new alliance between Ulandus and the Dwarves from the City of Sands End. The new integration will soon be shown. Edited March 24, 2015 by kabel Quote

Adair Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Nice story! The build seems quite simplistic, but then again, or friend from the dessert King did not add much detail to his either. Quote
gedren_y Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Nice story, and the strategic placement of that HP window is inspired. Quote

Thanks Adair! If I could go back, I would have definitely added more to the room but then again, it's like a office room so I didn't want to go crazy with decor. Nice story, and the strategic placement of that HP window is inspired. Thank you gedren! I manged to find that window piece in my collection and I figured it would look nice in the build and I'm glad it payed off. Quote
Garmadon Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Nice counter Goliath, I agree with gedren that the window is very nice! Quote
LittleJohn Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Great to see a build from you! I really like the use of that window Quote

Capt Wolf Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Nice story. And I love the bicorn and shakos on dwarves. What set is that window piece from? Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Nice window, as others have said. Cool dwarves as well, glad to see you building! Quote

Yzalirk Posted March 22, 2015 Author Posted March 22, 2015 Solid counter to our work, maybe it'll be enough! Thanks blufiji and I'm hoping it is! Nice story. And I love the bicorn and shakos on dwarves. What set is that window piece from? Thank you CW! The window is from an old Harry Potter set, which used yellow minifigs and not fleshies. I forget the actual set name though. Nice window, as others have said. Cool dwarves as well, glad to see you building! Thank you LV and I'm really going to try to put myself out there for this challenge. Your dwarves have a quite modern touch. It's the Kaliphlin touch! Quote
LordDan Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Neat counter. However it is ironic that these Ulandians speak against bring enslaved, when it is the Ulandians who have enslaved an entire race!!! The Ulandians would be the ones who would enslave the dwarves not the Desert King, who treats his citizens with respect and dignity and rewards them. Quote

The Ulandians would be the ones who would enslave the dwarves not the Desert King, who treats his citizens with respect and dignity and rewards them. They did enslave the Leander, yes, but not any other race. There was also a legion comprised of Leander as well, who really weren't enslaved. The Desert King, just like any other king, likes to be showered in gold and riches, which Dwarves like to mine and extract, so they would easily be enslaved and forced to mine for the Desert King. Dwarves are also hardy workers. Quote
Maxim I Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 I really like the window piece!! Also nice flooring! Only remark: smaller pictures (maximum: 600x800)!!! Quote
