Kai NRG Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 A footsore band of Ulandians trudged across the rocky plateau. A long day's march lay behind them, and ahead of them the sun was setting in a glorious blaze. Squinting into it, the leader caught sight of their goal - a sliver of the mighty Flagg reservoir. It shone black against the brilliant hues of the sky, and there was something sobering about its desolate look, like a guardian watching sadly over a countryside it knew was about to be ravaged by war. "I didn't think I had it left in me, boys, but on the count of three - hip, hip, hurrah!" the leader exclaimed. The cheer was taken up by the troops and rolled down over the sand dunes as they pressed with renewed strength on their way. For the curious... I was very careful to stay within the 32x32 limit! C&C welcome! Quote
Yzalirk Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Awesome build and I like the forced perspective you gave it. The colors are also very nice to, which gives it a late afternoon sort of feel. Quote
Jacob Nion Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Fantastic build! That single picture really tells a story. I love your techniques for forced perspective here. Quote
LittleJohn Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 (edited) Fantastic work, Kai! I love the clouds and the black aqueduct looks great! Edited March 22, 2015 by LittleJohn Quote
Halhi 141 Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Nice build, the background gives the build a great mood overall. Great work! Quote
Elostirion Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Wow, that is amazing and unique. I think you could have achieved even more with a slight change in colour in the sky, as you did for the clouds, but aside from that I don't see how you could have done any better. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Beautiful shot, Kai You pulled off the FP perfectly Quote
LordDan Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 (edited) Fantastic build and great forced perspective! This is a very unique and awesome take on the warzone Edited March 23, 2015 by LordDan Quote
Kai NRG Posted March 23, 2015 Author Posted March 23, 2015 Thanks guys! Fantastic work, Kai! I love the clouds and the black aqueduct looks great! Thanks LJ, I didn't want to just build another full sized aqueduct as I knew there was no way I'd be able to beat any of the ones that have already come along! Wow, that is amazing and unique. I think you could have achieved even more with a slight change in colour in the sky, as you did for the clouds, but aside from that I don't see how you could have done any better. Thanks! Yes, a slight change might have added a bit although I'm not sure what the color would change to! Quote
