Gideon Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 (edited) Raiding in the Grasslands Guerrilla build for the High Council against Ulandus, zone J14 Light cavalry from a desert nomad tribe loyal to the Kaliphlin High Council. They are patrolling and raiding in the grasslands west of Mpya Stedor. For each raid, the Ulandians are finding it harder and harder to keep control of the area. And a closeup shot, can you feel some of how vast the grasslands of Kaliphlin are? Not all of Kaliphlin is sand you know! For the Republic! Edited March 22, 2015 by Gideon Quote
Graham Gidman Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Gideon, you've blown me away, once again! Quote
Bregir Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 I love the dynamic nature of this build! Especially the grass swooshing aside for the riders, and the dust from the hooves of the horses! For the Republic! Quote
LittleJohn Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Incredible work! The olive green/dark tan combo looks amazing! Excellent job with the dust as well Quote
Jakorin Swiftsword Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 This build has made my day! You can always be counted on to crank out something awesome. Quote
Kai NRG Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Well somebody has a lot of tan poles... Nice touch with the dirt spraying up from the back of the horse's hoofs! Quote
Gideon Posted March 23, 2015 Author Posted March 23, 2015 Thanks! Well somebody has a lot of tan poles... Ordered a bunch in the last LUGBULK to be able to build wheat fields (placed in the hollow studs of technic bricks). Quote
Maxim I Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Very sweet guerilla Gideon!!! It completely fits with the area just beside the water!! Quote
Garmadon Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Fantastic build Gideon, I really like your use of the poles and the dust raised behind them Quote
Robin Creations Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Really nice! I especially like the poles and dust! Quote
Gideon Posted March 23, 2015 Author Posted March 23, 2015 (edited) Thanks! It completely fits with the area just beside the water!! I thought that there must be some quite large areas around Mpya Stedor which are grass-covered (and not only desert) since there is such a rich equestrian tradition there Edited March 23, 2015 by Gideon Quote
Adair Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Great job! Love the colors and the grass! Long live the Republic! Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Fine grassland - fine dust behind the horses. Quote
MassEditor Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Beautiful and well composed build! The long grass looks great, as does the dirt flying from under the horses' hooves! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 The olive green leaves look great, and work well to hold the tan rods Excellent sense of motion with the horses too Quote
