Elostirion Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Pumping the water into the aqueducts is important, yes. Deciding about the waters destination, however, is real power. As such a small unit of Ulandian soldiers has conquered a tower further landinwards where a waterstream is split in two. Some of the water is kept for the small oasis around the tower. Poor Desert King spy soon to be discovered by the watchful dog... Stopping the flow of the water in one of the directions: Feel free to have a look at the full fotostream for some more shots. In case I win: J9. Quote
Jacob Nion Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Nice aqueduct. Like the idea of the cross section. Quote
LittleJohn Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Great idea for the challenge! The colors look excellent Quote
Yzalirk Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Very nice build and the aqueduct looks great! Quote
Kai NRG Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 A cross section is a great idea, nice job on the terrain as well! Quote
Garmadon Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Excellent build, I echo those above about dividing the cross section! Quote
Bregir Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 As others have said, nice original take on the aquaduct theme! And I really like the idea that water is distributed, while some is retained for the oasis. The oasis may then work as an overflow-valve, accepting all the water not sent on to the downstream locations! The architecture in it self is great too! Keep up the great work! Quote
Elostirion Posted March 24, 2015 Author Posted March 24, 2015 Thank you all for the positive feedback. I'm very happy that you like both the idea and the realisation of the build. Quote
Disco86 Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 The idea is really creative. And the build itself has a well thought architecture and a pretty color combination. Just sad, that the main picture is not really true to color, the others are looking much better. Ever thought about using a program to adjust the color ? Quote
robuko Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Very nice idea and well realised too. I like all the greenery suggesting leakage at the sluice. The espionage scene is great. And your dog will make a very tasty kebab! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Great idea to have a station that allows change of direction for the water The little water gates are a neat touch, and I like the irregular base Quote
