The Desert Patriots report that the bridge is secure, Captain. We have control of Pump One.

{Sadly I ran out of time on this one as my son said I have to stop building! Probably 95% finished}

This is a nice build you've done, robuko! I can see what you mean when you say it's not total finish, the ground looks a bit naked, if you know what I mean. I really like the complex aqueduct you've made though, it's awesome! :wink:

Great realisation of an automated mechanism. I was initially trying something similar, but I didn't manage to get anything close to what you did. Really well done, and I also like the colorscheme of your aqueduct a lot. Nice work on the foam in the water

Room for improvement I see is the shore of the river and the terrain, but those details might as well be the missing 5%.

Great entry!

Well, this mechanism was my first idea!! But as I lack the necessary bricks, I made my aquaduct a bit different!!! I really love it Robuko!!

Nice looking aquaduct and cool mechanism! A shame you didn't have time to finish is completely (I am thinking landscaping is some of what you would have improved?), but it is still a nice entry! :classic:

I wonder which of the mummies are mr. Spokk, erh, I mean Spkk. (I really do not hope the Desert King will enfore a language, where there are words without vowels, should he win! :tongue: )

Thanks for all your kind comments guys. The water-wheel driven bucket pump was a "logical" solution :wink:

I am quite pleased with the way the chair chain has turned out, but I have realised that from this angle it is quite hard to see the flow of the water down the auxiliary channel to the acqueduct, and the mechanism that tilts the bucket is invisible, as is the ladder to the wheelhouse on the other column. The reality is, I was under a lot of time pressure to complete this as I was about to get on a plane, so it just didn't get the level of finish it needed. I should have added another layer of tan on top and tiled it off.

I agree with the comments that the bottom right corner is empty and plain, I planned to stage the gruesome battle there but simply ran out of time. I am not very bothered by it though, this is supposed to be a remote outpost in the desert and there is room for empty space in this type of composition. In retrospect, I should have left the flag out.
