Jurassic Park and Jurassic World Set Ideas Thread

Hey All,

With much speculation in the Jurassic World 2015 thread about potential Jurassic Park sets, I decided to start this ideas thread. Whether it be an idea from the original trilogy, or what we have seen in the trailers for Jurassic World so far, or even from the Novels which I am sure a couple of you have read, you can feel free to post your ideas here! Excited to see what you guys come up with. Not expecting much to start with, but hopefully as we get the new film in June and play the game, ideas will occur.

I'll kick us off!

To be honest, I don't think there's anything from these movies that's notable enough to warrant a set, except the SUV (maybe). The only reason kids would want Jurassic Park sets is because dinosaurs are cool. There are plenty of dinosaurs in the new movie, so there's not really any reason for TLG to spend money making more sets.

LEGO Jurassic Park - The Early Years Line

Triceratops Treatment

1x Red and Grey Jurassic Park 4x4 Jeep with working Tow Winch, Opening Doors and a removable cloth cover with roll cage underneath the vehicle. Back features a small storage area with a crate holding a tranquilizer dart.

1x Triceratops

1x Alan Grant with Raptor Claw, 1x Ellie Sattler, 1x Dr Gerry Harding

Spinosaurus Encounter

1x Jurassic Park broken-down fence with gap for Minifigures to fit through, and exploding collapsing feature.

1x Spinosaurus

1x Alan Grant (JP III version), 1X Billy with Backpack, 1x Erik, 1x Mercenary with Tranquilizer Gun

Anyone else got some ideas? I have a few more but want someone to post first.

I might get the Jurassic park sets, but im passing on the JW ones, not really excited about that movie.

The "double trailer" thing from the Lost World with the "high hide" would make for an awesome set... you could throw in a baby t-rex and a few figures.

Maybe something from JP3, with the river boat and some flying dactyls, Alan Grant and the Kirbys.

As for the original movie, I'd love to see sets with the explorer (much like the ideas proposal), maybe a gas jeep with Nedry and the Dilophosaurus, or the final T-rex and raptor battle in the Visitor Centre with the dino skeleton and scaffolding in the background.

I don't think Jurassic Park has that much set potential apart front he vehicles or a visitor center but the others have way more.

Like Slacker int said. The double trailer would make an awesome set. Another set from the scene in Orlando(?). With a car and some civilians. I personally want one of those hunting jeeps with a pachycephalosaurus.

Jurassic Park III could make a recreation of the Studios set, with a Spinosaurus and the plane in the tree. It could also have that abandoned lab place.

Raptors kitchen: 2 raptors, 2 minifigures (Tim & Lex)

I feel that the big set in the wave would be the building with the cafeteria and the kitchen with most of the main characters with two raptors and a t-rex.

Nice! I kinda see that building as a D2C, with the central building in the standard line being the Raptor Enclosure. The enclosure could include the forklift, the cage, 2x Jurassic Park Workers, 1x Jurassic Park Vet, 1x Robert Muldoon, 1x Hammond, 2x Raptors.

That's a pteranodon. :)

Pterodactylus was smaller and didn't have such a long crest.

I think a really cool Jurassic World set would be the Shamou-ish display with the Mosasaurus and the curved stadium seating on the arches. A much less likely possibility could be a "Mosasaurus Light Rail Attack!" set with the high speed train that crosses the arena, and some elevated track.

Both of those would be cool!

A Monorail set with part of the Mosasaurus Pen and of course the Mosasaurus, a small curved section of the train with elevated track, like you mentioned, and then a couple of cabins of the train/monorail would be sweet.

Am I the only one who would like sets modeled on before the Dino's breakout too? So maybe sets like Galimimus Valley, which would come with the tour truck, an ACU Driver, a few civilians, some Galimimus and some terrain.

That'd be a nice way to army-build Raptors! Throw in a JW Jeep and a couple of ACU guys and bam - epic set!

An army builder should have only a small amount of extra things in it, besides the army. A full-blown jeep would kind of stray too far from the point. I do like the idea of including raptor eggs, though. I'd just make it four raptors, a small nest, plus maybe one ACU fig to act as a helpless victim.

I would love a stegosaurus but I do not know what the set would actually be because this is the only time one poped up.
