Captain Braunsfeld Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 172D Inspired by "Shipwreck Defense" I have created a complete (custom) boat: C&C welcome! Quote
Captain Settle Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Wow, I really like this, it's so simple but very attractive. I can imagine having one on board a ship, or lots of them lined up outside a port town. Quote
Mr. Townsend Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 I cute little build Captain Braunsfeld. I certainly see the inspiration in there. I think that its to abrupt of a transition at the bow and stern. I'm a big fan of all the dark brown that has come out recently like those 1x2 slopes. And the flurry of posts in the forum since the new wave of Pirates has been coming out Quote
Plaid Beard Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 That is awesome! That sort of design could be use to build mini carracks. Quote

And the flurry of posts in the forum since the new wave of Pirates has been coming out I am fine about the stern, I agree with your comment about the bow. Actually, I could not think of a better solution (or: the things I tried were worse ). I am open to suggestions. That is awesome! That sort of design could be use to build mini carracks. Thanks. Mini carracks - yepp, that could be another use for it. Edited March 29, 2015 by Captain Braunsfeld Quote
Gary The Procrastinator Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 This is a sweet little work. It would look well when sunk into some trans-blue 1x1 round plates to mimic water. Quote
Kolonialbeamter Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Hey, must have overlooked this cutie. But that's rather easy given its size. Well done, maybe the next design could be a bit slimmer? Anyway, where is your 'Captain' rowing to? Mitgardia? Eslandola? And why is he so happy? This is a sweet little work. It would look well when sunk into some trans-blue 1x1 round plates to mimic water. +1 for the water idea. Keep them MOCs coming! Best regards Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 Anyway, where is your 'Captain' rowing to? Mitgardia? Eslandola? And why is he so happy? You have spotted Mitgardian colours, but this guy is not supposed to go there. So it would be Eslandola. He is happy because the boat he designed proves to be "ocean-going" Quote
Captain Dee Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Before the sets were ever released there was some talk about using those curved slopes to make boats or ships and I wondered who would be first to do just that. You've built a nice little craft there, Captain. I wouldn't say she's perfect, but we all know what you were trying to accomplish and I'd say it turned out pretty good. Personally I like the standard rowboat so I don't usually build small craft such as this, but from what I've seen you just might have more experience building custom boats than anyone. Keep it up!
