Here are a few pictures showing a quick mod to the new rebel snowspeeder. I only used 4 parts that were not already part of the snowspeeder.

For each engine block you need 2 of the bracket pictured below.

Also the main gun and the converter section are now in line :-)

The shape of the engine block is still not quite right (it needs a 2x3 and 2 1x3 slopes) but it does not look to far of the shape of the 4500 speeder :-P

The 2 together now look close to being the same and the colour differences look like squadron colours :-D

The brackets i used came from 2 clone battle packs so if you are like me *yoda* you should have plenty of them spare. You could also change the main guns on the 4500 speeder to match the new one from the battle pack too!

Good mod. If I find and buy that I would also remove the 4x4 plate below the engine block so it sat more level with the rest.

I have issues with displaying my two B-Wings, two A-Wings and two of my X-Wings together due to their such huge differences in design.

Remembering that the rebellion used whatever resources that they could get their hands on, these two Snowspeeders still work and look very good together. They've both just been modified and repairs in different ways.

I too don't like the gap.

Yes both parts need to be on the same level so we coould do that or we could raise the front part either by adding a 2x2 white on top or elevate the bottom ;-)

I think it would be more fun to higher the front part so we can use that crane to get that engine off :-P Hey lets at least use that stupid crane !!

Another problem remains for me: its the use of thpose guns on that new speeder |-/ Why oh why use those parts here where the brick build guns from the 4500 are way way better !! Crap I need to build me 8 of those old guns |-/

Its often the little improvements that make the sets look sore authentic. This is a great little change that makes it look so much better.

One of the things I love about this version of the speeder is it's the first one where the canopy opens like it does in the movie:

I've made a very simple mod myself with parts that are easy to get hold of (if you have a Pumpkin Pack handy that is). I've managed to keep the lift-off engines, introduce an orange stripe and tidy up the look of the thing too:

Parts required (per speeder):

4x white 2x2 tile

4x white 1x3 slope

4x light or dark bley (either will do) 1x2 plate with side facing 2x2 bracket

2x orange 2x3 slope

2x orange 2x2 slope

2x dark bley (I've had to use dark grey for now) "star wars turbo laser" brick or whatever it's called

Got all the parts I need to mod my version and it will be slightly different !! Will post it asa I have that HB in TRU ;-) Mine will take some from Mutley and some from Paul + adding a *yoda* touch
