Jacob Nion Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 (edited) Far away in the dune sea, right in the middle of nowhere, a patrol of Osric's Mercenaries has opened a storage. Unfortunately, even the slightest vibration can lure a very serious kind of sand worm, which reacts very sensitive to tremors... The only save places seem to be the few rocks spreaded over the area. But how shall they come to their saving wind wagon? No_Tremors1 by Jacob Nion, on Flickr Ooc: I really wanted to include bacon... but there are only T-bone steaks made by Lego. Gunman Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Woww nice creature there and the posing of the figs is great with those weapons.. Quote
robuko Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 They must be more arrythmic in munching bacon! Nice Dune reference, and a great build Quote
Yzalirk Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Awesome build Jacob! The posing on the minifigs and the flying supply cache was also really nice. It's too bad you didn't help Ulandus. Quote
Robin Creations Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Nice job! I think they have a printed bacon tile... Quote
Elostirion Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Both the wind wagon and the sandworm are fantastic. Quote
Adair Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Nice job! The rockwork is nice, and that worm... what are those pieces? Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Great sandworm! There seems to be a reference in there to some movie which I am probably missing. Quote
LittleJohn Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Fantastic entry! The way you have the flying boxes and food positioned is perfect! Great rocks too Quote
MassEditor Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 (edited) Fantastic build and reference to one of my favorite monster movies! Really great posing, way to outsmart that grabboid the landscaping is great too. But the exploding campside is a real eye catcher. Sweet entry my friend! Edited April 6, 2015 by MassEditor Quote
LordDan Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Utterly stunning work! The fig posing and the sand worm are fantastic! Great sandworm! There seems to be a reference in there to some movie which I am probably missing. I think its a reference to the movie Tremors. Quote
Garmadon Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Excellent build JN, fantastic work on the sandworm and the destroyed cache! Great work on the landscaping as well, though I must admit that the wind wagon strikes me as looking a bit odd Also, it would be nice to have a pic of the full build without the sides cut off (and yes, I know that can be difficult with large builds!) Quote
Kai NRG Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Great job with the posing and the sandworm! The boat on wheels is very creative as well! Quote
Gideon Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Excellent worm! This reminds me of the Dune games of my childhood There are btw several UoP credits you could claim here. Quote
Jacob Nion Posted April 6, 2015 Author Posted April 6, 2015 Thank you all so much for commenting. Pictures are below ok, I know. This was another over night build (This war is really gnawing my nerves). Awesome build Jacob! The posing on the minifigs and the flying supply cache was also really nice. It's too bad you didn't help Ulandus. Ulandus makes politics against Nocturnus. And Osric will never take party against his own guild. Nice job! The rockwork is nice, and that worm... what are those pieces? Thanks. These are inverted tires. Great sandworm! There seems to be a reference in there to some movie which I am probably missing. Utterly stunning work! The fig posing and the sand worm are fantastic! I think its a reference to the movie Tremors. Aye! One of my favorite creature movies. Fantastic build and reference to one of my favorite monster movies! Really great posing, way to outsmart that grabboid the landscaping is great too. Sweet entry! Thanks! I hoped there would be at least a few guys being aware o the most important Bacon-film! Excellent build JN, fantastic work on the sandworm and the destroyed cache! Thank you very much. I know, the wind wagon som kin of spoils the view. But I felt that I ha to include a kind of getaway car. Excellent worm! This reminds me of the Dune games of my childhood There are btw several UoP credits you could claim here. I know, I know, I probably could graduate within the war but a rat going to college? That' ridiculous even in a fantasy RPG Quote
soccerkid6 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 That wind wagon is superb Sweet desert-scape, and the sand worm looks suitably menacing Quote
