robuko Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Not all of the beasts of Kaliphlin are hostile, but not all of them are friendly either. As a rule, the Sand Dragons of the rocky wastes didn't like people, and were generally satisfied that the people were just a type of ambulatory service that produced goats and sheep for their pleasure. People were too stringy to eat, although they were not a threat. The dragons did, however, get on very well with their reptiian cousins, and would enter a rudimentary trade whereby the crocs would provide giant fish, and the dragons would help them out on occasion. It was good to vary protein, and the fish oils were very fashionable amongst dragons. The crocs were due a few favours, they were smart enough to build up a surplus. And so Kanjoh and Aken followed their colleagues South, to the heart of the problem, at a furious pace. Their job was simple: patrol the area around the city. All the men had gone off to spill their blood in some tyrant's pointless war, so the women and children needed protection. And the Desert King would make sure they were safe. Quote
LordDan Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Wow you sure made the most of the parts you had. Great work, especially considering the limited amount of parts you had to work with! Quote
LittleJohn Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Excellent build! I really like the micro city Quote
Yzalirk Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 The Sand Dragon looks good but I think you could have extended out the tail and possibly removed the wings so it would be like a Wyvern. Quote
Garmadon Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 (edited) Great dragon robuko, but those mummies don't seem to get it that the only people the city needs protection from are themselves... for the approval! Edited April 7, 2015 by Garmadon Quote
soccerkid6 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Cool beasty! You're making great use of the Legends of Chima beasts Excellent micro city too Quote
Jacob Nion Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Wonderful beast! I love the head. And that micro city is fantastic. Quote
robuko Posted April 8, 2015 Author Posted April 8, 2015 Thanks everyone for your kind comments Wow you sure made the most of the parts you had. Great work, especially considering the limited amount of parts you had to work with! Thanks Lord Dan. Yup, that's all of my parts! Apart from a CCBS Mungus that I couldn't work in The Sand Dragon looks good but I think you could have extended out the tail and possibly removed the wings so it would be like a Wyvern. Thanks. I tried with and without wings, with is better. As for extending the tail, yes it would look better and if I had more pieces I would have done that. Great dragon robuko, but those mummies don't seem to get it that the only people the city needs protection from are themselves... for the approval! Thanks Garmadon. Oh they get it. This is an oblique social political satire about the role of police and armies at this time. Look at the disarm the NYPD movement. Cool beasty! You're making great use of the Legends of Chima beasts Excellent micro city too Thanks Soccerkid. As you can tell, this is the love child of croc+lion, basically everything I could buy on clearance. Wish I could have found more lions, that is a fantastic set for Kali. Wonderful beast! I love the head. And that micro city is fantastic. Thanks Jacob, I am quite happy with the head, it has limited but reasonable articulation. The micro city hasn't photographed very well, but the Chima legs as towers looks great in the brick. Quote
MassEditor Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 (edited) This is fantastic, both the critter and the micro city. I'm left nearly speechless when I see what you can do with such a limited amount of bricks, quite impressive! While I really enjoy the look of this dragon, the city steals the show for me. There's a tremendous amount of detail and perspective in that micro city, perfectly done! This will be a very hard build to counter. Edited April 9, 2015 by MassEditor Quote
mrcp6d Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 Quite the impressive dragon robuko! I do think the lower legs look a little thin when compared to the stoutness of the rest of the beast however. Quote
