Dr.Cogg Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 (edited) Long ago in the Great Sands, the Desert Kings built a great cities to shine as a symbol of his might, that even the Great Sands posed no threat to the Desert King and that He could tame any land no matter how barren or treacherous it was, for many years it was a center for trade and the city was known throughout Historica as "The Jewel of the Desert Sands", until the Desert Kings death. When the Desert King was killed, a great storm swept over the desert and the Great City vanished under the desert sand. Now that the Desert King has risen, the Great City rises out of the sands, as if to greet its King. LittleJohn Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Excellent micro city! I really like the towers Quote
Balbo Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Fantastic micro build . I love how you made the tower Quote
robuko Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Oh really nice. This looks like the intro to game of thrones! Quote
Kai NRG Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Very nice work on the micro city! A bit of a lower angle would have highlighted the FP a bit more though! Quote
Garmadon Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Awesome microbuild Dr Cogg, the gateway and walls are excellent! I really like the pyramid inside as well! Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Nice microbuild indeed. I like the towers. As to the perspective: I think the best angle to shoot the figures in the foreground has yet to be found. Picture 1 is close. Would you want to give it one more try? Quote
Blufiji Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Echoing everyone else's sentiments great micro build! Quote
Gideon Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Nice micro build! I agree however that the fp effect could be improved. Try a lower angle (best if it's in a level which could be from a minifig's eyes), have the figs in focus and the micro build out of focus. Quote
Dr.Cogg Posted April 7, 2015 Author Posted April 7, 2015 I left the old picture up just in case the others aren't allowed in the voting and if they are allowed I would like to change my voting picture to the second picture. Quote
MassEditor Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Great work Dr. Cogg, this was definitely one of my favorite entries in the challenge. Although I agree that the forced perspective could use some refining, I'm glad we get to see the micro city and all its details. The front gate area looks fantastic as does the pyramid itself. Wonderful work, one of my favorites from you for sure since this challenge started! Quote
