Balthazar Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Hello again! Last sunday we celebrated Easter in Russia and I`ve built small MOC on the theme of the Old Testament. Exodus: First Plague of Egypt by balthazar_, on Flickr The Plagues of Egypt, also called the ten plagues, were ten calamities that, according to the biblical Book of Exodus, Israel's God inflicted upon Egypt to persuade the Pharaoh to release the ill-treated Israelites from slavery. Pharaoh capitulated after the tenth plague, triggering the Exodus of the Hebrew people. The plagues were designed to contrast the power of Yahweh with the impotence of Egypt's various gods. The First Plague was turning the waters of Nile into blood: 'This is what the Lord says: By this you will know that I am the Lord: With the staff that is in my hand I will strike the water of the Nile, and it will be changed into blood. The fish in the Nile will die, and the river will stink and the Egyptians will not be able to drink its water.' (wiki) Goats again No minifigures: Thanks for watching! I hope you enjoyed. C&C are welcome! Quote

Captain Dee Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 For a small scene it conveys the message well. The trans-red has a greater depth than plain red for the blood. Perhaps the man's expression should have been more severe considering the circumstances. Good composition overall. Quote
LegoFanfromPR Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Simple. Powerful. Brilliant. Excellent job sir!!! Quote

Wat Tambor Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 A very nice creation, I really like how you have created the bloody river. I have never thought about building something from the bible although it is full of great inspiration. Quote
