These trains are my latest works-in-progress. Some of these trains have been built already, and the topic's LDD screenshots will be updated with real pictures once they are done. Also, they all have LDD files available, and comments are most welcome!

First up:

Emerald Express with 2-6-0 "Mogul"

In the real world, the locomotive was assembled from instructions on Railbricks for a MOD of set 79111, Constitution Train Chase, by a user named Zephyr1934. I then added train coaches inspired by set 10015, Passenger Wagon, but with inter-car connections and inset doors. (plus the rear platform on the observation car)

The locomotive is a 2-6-0 (two leading, six driving, and zero trailing wheels) steam locomotive. Engine number 4613 usually pulls the Emerald Express.

Meramec River Runner with 2-8-2 "Mikado"

In real life, this engine is made up of four different models. This includes ScotNick1's 2-10-0 9F European steam engine, which was shortened to a 2-8-0. The second model is set 10194 Emerald Night, from which the rear truck was taken. The third model is Anthony Sava's Pacific 4-6-2 model and that comprises the inspiration for the tender. The boiler was inspired by the one in set 79111 Constitution Train Chase. Together, these different engines from four different eras and four separate builders come together to create this one steam engine. The coaches are inspired by a 12 inch gauge railway called the Wabash Frisco & Pacific.

The locomotive is a 2-8-2 (two leading, eight driving, and two trailing wheels) steam locomotive. Engine number 5916 usually pulls the Meramec River Runner lightweight passenger train.

The observation car lacks the letters BRS (standing for Brick Railway Systems) but it is owned by that line.

Generic Freight Train with 4-8-0 "Mastodon"

This model was originally ScotNick1's London Midland 7 Southern Ivatt class 2MT steam tank engine. I added a Anthony Sava-style Tender to this model about a year ago, and today I added a Constitution Train Chase -style boiler and recolored the engine reddish brown.

The first post has been updated with a ton of changes. (such as the addition of the reddish brown steam engine and it's matching train, or the removal of the switching engines) As such, here is an updated group shot:

Here is my new caboose for my freight train.

This model was first built in dark bluish gray by Julian B (also known as Fireglo450 on Flickr) in July 2013. I used it for my UK trains, and now I've redesigned it for my American trains because the traditional set 10014-styled model won't fit in my storage box. I wanted to do a bay window caboose, but I couldn't make that fit either. The only other option was a simple branch caboose, like what I did with the 2013 Lone Ranger train chase prison car.

Of course, after looking it over, I decided that making that it needed to look a little more American. I added a cupola to the top of the caboose, and it found out it is actually 2 plates shorter than my yellow 10014 MOD. This transformed it from a branch caboose to a bobber caboose, and made it look a ton better.

The caboose is on the to-buy list after I receive the parts for my 2-8-2 "Mikado" steam locomotive from BrickLink, but before the Victorian-style Barretts Station upgrade. It features two opening doors and spaces for the letters BRS to be placed on the left and right sides. (BRS stands for Brick Railway Systems) The caboose features no interior, and either end is usable for the actual end of the train, but just remember to move the red tail-light.
