Posted April 26, 20159 yr Hereby my entry to War Zone 9. If I win I5 is to be the next war zone. WZ 9: The Battle for the Bloody Lane by Beorthan, on Flickr Shortly after having taken position in a small shelter along the important oil road, Sir William Drake finds his unit of heavy infantry attacked by a tribe of Cyclops berserkers supporting Ulandus. "Form a shield wall" Drake barks in a commanding voice. WZ 9: The Battle for the Bloody Lane by Beorthan, on Flickr At the sound of the command, the remainder of the unit, two light infantrymen, rushes from the shelter where they had rested. With the shield wall formed, their bolts will wreak havoc amongst the berserkers, whose savage attack will not stand much of a chance against a well-disciplined unit. WZ 9: The Battle for the Bloody Lane by Beorthan, on Flickr The build sans figs. Nothing too special, but I think it turned out reasonably well. C&C is more than welcome. I must admit 3 war zones with the same deadline is taking it's toll!
April 26, 20159 yr Great work Bregir! The angled building and the road look very good, as do you Avalonian figs! :)
April 26, 20159 yr The landscaping is nice, the building could stand a bit more texturing I think but overall the build is solid.
April 26, 20159 yr Yup, Cyclops aren't the smartest of creatures... I do not think they're attack is going to end well.
April 26, 20159 yr I quite like this! I'll echo Blufiji's comment about the house though, I think the roof could have used a few more pieces.
April 26, 20159 yr The base and building are both somewhat simple but they still look pretty good. The road is well done. I like the arched windows - the brown frames always look good as an accent color. The wide, open window is a nice feature as well. Plenty action going on for sure. Overall nice job.
April 26, 20159 yr Nice! I like the road, and the building, although I agree about the roof- just seems a little "unpolished"!
April 26, 20159 yr So many great looking shields!! Excellent minifig posing and that litte stone hut is great!
April 26, 20159 yr Great entry! The road texturing is very good and I like that you angled the building

Regarding the building, are you referring to the roof? On 4/26/2015 at 3:43 PM, Graham Gidman said: Yup, Cyclops aren't the smartest of creatures... April 27, 20159 yr Nice job on the angled building here Bregir, though it is a bit short! Perhaps the rest has be buried in sand? The posing in a line looks impressive as well!
April 27, 20159 yr Great posing. The hut is well done. I only would suggest to put it on tiles instead of studs.
April 30, 20159 yr Impressive spear wall! The building looks pretty good, I like the dome roof, and think that if you just tiled underneath it, or perhaps had a very low railing around it, that it would look even better
