sheo Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 (edited) In the age when starships are furrowing the vasts of the galaxy, a mysterious threat emerges from the darkest depths of space... This model depicts space pirates' formidable flagship which is called "Galactic Nautilus" because its shape resembles a submarine. Additional views of the ship: The following photo demonstrates sophisticated fuel storage and distribution system of the ship. Front cannons: Additional links: flickr Building instructions are available on Rebrickable. Edited December 11, 2017 by sheo Quote
Balbo Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Fantastic work! I really love the techniques you used for your starship. The photos are excellent, too Quote

sheo Posted April 27, 2015 Author Posted April 27, 2015 Graham Gidman, Balbo, msx80, Balthazar, thank you! I'm glad I managed to overcome procrastination. :) Quote
VolumeX Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Wow, truly sweet build! Love the pockets of detail gone into this. Quote
___ Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 I will repeat myself again (as I said it elsewhere in another occasion) but all that focal blur is fantastic and giving your model quite realistic feeling to it...model itself is not bad tho I have a slightly different "space" taste, anyway: good build after all! + I would suggest one thing: what about changing those not-transparent parts in your stand with completely clear transparent ones, hm? TheLegoDr Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 And builds like this are the reason why I don't enter contests... I like the shaping overall. I have no idea on how to build spaceships and the use of rigging is impressive. Good luck. Quote
Actor Builder Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I love the solar sails on this! I'm assuming the "wings" are solar sails...Is that correct? Either way, beautiful creation. Quote
Kai NRG Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Fantastic work here, the panels are really eye catching and all the curves are very smooth and well executed. Maybe my favorite detail is the back booster section - the shape and colors there are just perfect! Quote
Chase The Cop Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 This is one amazing spacecraft!! My fave parts being the back boosters, and the cannon section on the top. Quote
sheo Posted April 30, 2015 Author Posted April 30, 2015 Thanks everyone for the kind words! I would suggest one thing: what about changing those not-transparent parts in your stand with completely clear transparent ones, hm? Good suggestion! I'll try to gather some transparent parts for future builds. Quote
