LordDan Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 (edited) This is a counter to Andrew Spader's guerrilla http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=108383 The viking warrior was bored, and tired. Of course he had to be chosen to guard the prisoner, a young lady captured earlier during a raid on Desert King troops. "It's not fair", he thought to himself. "Everyone else is out fighting and killing Desert Kig troops while I am stuck here in camp guarding a prisoner! I hate this godsforsaken desert! I wish I was back in Mitgardia, not fighting this stupid war in the middle of nowhere! This is no place for us viking, we should be on the Deck of a ship, not in this accursed pile of sand!" He was suddenly thrust back into reality when he saw the gleam of a blade in his prisoner's hand. He grabbed his axe and started to rush towards her when suddenly a line of Desert King archers appeared on the rocky outcropping above his head. " I would drop the axe if I were you" said the prisoner, and he quickly complied. " Don't worry, we don't plan on killing you. We need just want you to deliver a message to your leader" said one of the Warriors, clearly their leader. He walked up next to the former prisoner. We know that you viking seek a ship back to Mitgardia. We will offer you safe passage to the coast, where you will find a ship waiting to take you back to Mitgardia. We will also offer you an entire chest full of fine gems, so you will not return home empty-handed. However if you do not accept our offer and continue to attack our people we will have no choice but to eliminate the threat. Is that clear? " The Viking warrior nodded in understanding, and watched as the Desert King Warriors disappeared into the Desert, along with the prisioner, thinking to himself " How am I going to explain this to the others?" Here's an overall pic with all figs: Notes: Andrew, I hope you don't mind that I used a new viking for this scene, because I didn't want to use one of you main characters and alter their story. Sorry about the lame story. I didn't add a title because I couldn't think of one. C and C appreciated Edited April 26, 2015 by LordDan Quote
LittleJohn Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Great counter! The rockwork looks excellent Quote
Captain Dee Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 "Lame story" or not, you've placed a lot of minifigs in a small build and that's worth something. The rocks are good and the base is simple but effective. The gems and treasure chest are a unique, colorful feature. Overall this is pretty good. Quote
Spader Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Great Counter! As for making a new Viking, I can just say he's another one who survived the shipwreck. We'll have to see what Logan makes of this....... Quote
Kai NRG Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Nice work here Lord Dan, the fig action is well portrayed! Quote
