Hammerhand Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 (edited) EDIT: Added story. Along the Oil Road, the Desert King's forces encounter a group of High Council soldiers trying to hold the road. The soldiers, who appear to be fresh recruits, quickly shove their commander forward, closing their shield wall behind him. Their commander, who doesn't have much more experience than his troops, stammers as he tries to think of something either courageous or diplomatic to say to the battle hardened warriors in front of him. He takes an involuntary step back when the commander of the opposing troops steps forward. The man, who looks strangely familiar, quietly says, "I give you the choice - either surrender unconditionally, or face your death." Caught between two orders, he looks back at his soldiers. Should he hold the road at all costs as he was ordered by his superiors, or should he surrender and preserve his life, as well as the lives of his men? If I win, I pick L6 as the next WZ. LittleJohn Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Excellent entry! The sand is superb and I like how the road is cracked Quote
Garmadon Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Very nice road and sand-scape, Hammerhand, very cool minifigs as well! My only nitpick would be that the road could benefit from being a tad less straight Quote
Captain Dee Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Very clean design on the base and the cracked road is beautiful even if it is relatively straight. I would like a few more details but still you have a lot of figures that look all set for action. Nice job overall. Quote
Kai NRG Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Good work on the road and the landscaping and great job portraying a pretty intensive start to a battle! Quote
Jacob Nion Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 This cracked look of the road fits perfectly what I imagined a road must look in the desert. The sand is also nicely done. Quote
Yzalirk Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Awesome build and it looks very clean and smooth! Good job. Quote
Hammerhand Posted April 27, 2015 Author Posted April 27, 2015 Thanks guys! Very nice road and sand-scape, Hammerhand, very cool minifigs as well! My only nitpick would be that the road could benefit from being a tad less straight Yeah, I tried to make it curve at the end using SNOT slopes, but it didn't work as well as I wanted it to. I meant to make it curve on the other end as well, but I got distracted with my WZ 7 build, and kind of forgot about it… Quote
Balbo Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Great work! I like the way you made the road and the sand Quote
robuko Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Very nicely done. Your builds somehow always look totally studless, even when they are not. The road is great. Quote
Robin Creations Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 The Snot-work and fig posing are really awesome! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 The posing of both armies looks wonderful Very effective desert road and sandscape too Quote
